Mine says the same thing as yours, requesting medical and additional documents. Seems AVO woke up from the long slumber

Heey. Yeah they requested for additional documents but still no message. I guess we should just wait it out and see. I believe they wanted to update a couple of people and they updated everyone in error.

I think so too. I'm going to try and give cic a call tomorrow and see what they say. I'm so anxious....

Well, I believe it's a big system error due to the recent update to mycic. Asking for medical or additional document or both from every application around the world at same time is not just real. Let's relax and let cic sort out their business.

It requested for both but I got no message or email so I'm out of the loop on what it is. I pray it's schedule a though

Can people please check their cic and check if you all have medical request and documents request???? My lawyer and I can't get mycic to link up, so I can't see anything! I'm freaking out.

I had issues linking my CIC too for a while. My intuition told me CIC probably made an error in my info. My birthdate is 31st. But I couldn't link it with that information. I tried 30th, just incase they made a mistake with my birthdate and it worked. I'd advise you call CIC and ask them for the info that's on your file. Because it is possible they entered something wrong.

Thank you for your advice. I will ask my lawyer to call them. She said she would contact them, I'm just not sure how. She was having so much trouble trying to get it to link so there must be a problem.

I was just coming to write this before I saw urs... Exactly same feeling. Now I don't look forward to weekends cos it feels too long. Only if it would be Mondays after Friday, only if...

Ok, that is very confusing as the visitor visa states valid for five months, so practically I can stay in Nigeria all that time. I called the embassy in Canada who issued my visa and they specified that. I am planning to to stay around 3 months for the whole summer. But I am not sure if I can pay extensions as the flight tickets are already exorbitantly expensive. I think that they imagine that Canadians grow money on trees here in canada which is wrong.
We appealed the decision too and waiting for an interview date at Montreal. We decided not to apply again as I am not sure what happens in Accra, we don't see them working professionally on applications, so we better let the Canadian office handle our application.

Sorry been busy....haven't come online for a while. I have been to Nigeria with a single entry valid 5 months even tho i paid for 1 year, it was stamped valid for 1 month stay, before that you must go to embassy to extend your stay. I also paid for a 2 year multi entry visa and was granted only 1 year entry, again it was stamped for 1 month stay (30 days). When I was leaving at the airport.....I overstayed....was given a fine. Watch for signs when you enter....ask the officers about how long you can stay and get them to show you the 30 day stay for visitor visa holders. This is Nigeria we are talking about.

My medicals expired in April because I used an old medical from a denied study permit. So I don't know if this is a redo medical request or give us medical because we did not accept the first one lol. They never acknowledged the previous one we sent.

I have been thru this before too. Because it was a separate application, No they do not accept your medical from another app. You have to do a new one. Found that out from my MP back in December 2016

O wow! I guess my application has been sitting there without medical but they never sent me any specific medical request since I submitted until this "fake" one. Do you think it would delay my processing or would they just wait till I'm approved before sending me a medical request.
