hello beautiful people.
So I was just on my cic n noticed something.
If it says "Your application is in progress. The next step is to conduct a background check."
Does that mean the interview has been waived?
jay9132 said:ok to assist you with my advise since i have gone there to also fill some paper work for my Canadian daughter,i suggest you get every correspondents as a member advised you and give to your wife to take it to the high commission and she will be asked to talk to a front desk and with your correspondent,if the documents you requesting is available,it will be given to your wife right away.
If i may ask you,in your notes, how long did it take after your file was transferred to the Accra office before you saw recommended pass or pass.i ask because from my first notes i ordered,it said it wasn't started and on ecas,it showed in progress. After i ordered my second notes,i was expecting to see a remark from the visa officer each recommended pass, but it only said Not started.Does it mean, the file wasn't updated before it was generated?i am in my 10 months now and no word from the visa office.

jay9132 said:ok thank you for your response and i agree with you about the office doing what ever they want.if i may ask,is the recommended pass the same as Not started which was updated by the officer in canada?when i got my notes,it only said not started in eligibility.i have not heard a word from them since application filed and its my 10month now
waitingInTO said:Colmiz what does it say next to your Interview in my cic? Mine says "You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes." even though the background check says, "Your application is in progress. The next step is to conduct a background check."
boatswife said:Just so everyone is prepared..up until this week..our online status said no interview needed at this time yet we had an interview on Feb 8...its far better to go by your gcms notes...order them every month ..they are far more accurate and sometimes as in our case...cic only gives you a weeks notice they will do an interview...if you are on top of your notes you might see it scheduled in your notes before you get the actual email so you can prepare..my advice is have extra wedding photos and relationship photos on hand...work on a new schedule A...take out your original marrige certificate and be prepared to fedex it at the lat moment...I pray nobody gets interview but in case these are the things they asked my hubby bring with hardly any notice..it was a big scramble to get everything done in a week...so much better to be prepared in case..its only this week my status changed under interview not needed at this time to interview completed..it looks like they dont update as they should so please prepare in case
jay9132 said:Thank you bbcanada.so you saying 4months after your file was transferred that was when you saw on eligibility as recommended pass?meaning on my file,it could be passed but it hasn't been updated by the officer.is that what you mean
yes that is exactly what I meant. Some officers will leave everything blank until final decision is made before updating everything. If the visa office receive the first thing they work on is eligibility hence if there were any concern regarding eligibility they would schedule early interview.
