Today makes it 3 weeks I applied for our CSQ and everyone else got theirs in 1 to 2 weeks but I still haven't received mine. I thought it takes 2 to 3 weeks to receive.
I feel like my own case is just.....
Well let's see how the day goes.... hopefully it will be waiting for me in the mail when I get home...

I applied for CSQ February 27th and received it April 7th.
Don't worry, the CSQ could take 4 or more weeks for some people.

I am new here. Still filling my forms though ;D. I have been going through this thread and I can see that you guys have done a great job here. Please keep it up.

Please I need some help in filling form IMM5490E. Question 15.

It says specify the rite/religion in which the marriage was performed.

My husband and I had traditional ceremony and court wedding. Which rites/religion should these be? We are both Christians.

Also we don't know exactly how many people attended our traditional wedding. They were over 200, but I cant tell the exact number. Should I just estimate?

Finally, in QUESTION 15 part B, when asked questions about my sponsor, should I personalize the reply to "my husband" or I should reply "my sponsor"

For example,


Indicate if your sponsor and your sponsor's family members/relatives attended the ceremony.


Should I reply:
a. My sponsor and his family members/relatives attended the ceremony.

OR

b. My husband and his family members/relatives attended the ceremony.

OR

c. John and his family members/relatives attended the ceremony.

Approximate attendee is just ok.
In the forms, I used my husband and other times, I used my spouse.

Thanks lamour, that was helpful. I thought i saw that you sent yours a few days before mine. ok that makes sense. I called them and they said it takes 20 working days. I "walked" mine over 20th of March, So i could receive mine anytime next week by God's grace!

Alright, i can relax now... Cos i was beginning to stress out again especially after what i went through with my Sponsorship app.

Hello lovely people,I want to know if its ok to do re.medical in another country other than ones home country.my medical expires this month April not sure of the date and I am having a visit to Ghana this month.in case if CIC asks me to redo my medical,do I need to come back to my home country to do it,or should I stay in Ghana and do it?suggestions needed.thanks and have a nice weekend.

Have you visited your sponsor during the period of your relationship? Indicate number of visits, provide documentary evidence eg visas and tickets.


1. My husband and I visited each other, but the transport system we use does not give tickets (local transport). But we have some pictures we took while we were together. Is this enough? Since they specifically asked of tickets.

2. Should I estimate the number of times we visited each other or should I just say we visited each other a couple of times?

U dnt have to worry about it.medical can be done at any designated hospital or physician as long as its approved by cic.so go ahead.all the best.

In ur case I dnt know who is in Canada and who is not.if u or ur husband traveled by air to visit Africa then those tickets will be needed as it's a proof that genuine marriage won't be left emotionally unattended.in any case make sure u provide pictorial evidence and write a letter explaining how it visit does not have tickets

As Ghanaboy mentioned, you can include a sheet explaining your travel within the country.
It states documentary evidence. Tickets and visas are examples but not limited to that.
If you guys were married before he left for Canada then this question can be no and then give reasons.
If your spouse visited you from Canada before the sponsorship application, then add copies of his tickets and boarding pass.

Oh yes but just still home hunting for job.recieved my pr already and my big bro wedding his wife in USA and wishes i could be his best man but as to whether i would be given a visa is another thing.keeps me thinking since i dnt have job and just arrived.the wedding is in june though

You can leave Canada without PRC but coming in is the issue.

It took me say 4weeks.yes u can travel before receiving it But then when returning u need to obtain permanent resident travel document and that is a bit too much process as well.ain't u tired of dealing with this people lol? Why not wait and get it before.
