I am planning to travel via Mexico.
If you don't mind we can talk over the phone.

I have sent you a DM.
I heard as PR, we can transit through London, but need to check if we can test in the transit area during layover.
With a 2 year child, it would be challenging to go through multiple places, that is my concern.

Hi is anybody planning to travel from India to Canada in the next 2 months? As they require a test from third country, does anybody have an idea if the tests can be taken in transit airports like London,Frankfurt, Dubai etc. Has anyone you know traveled those routes with test in the transit airport. Any information will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

I received back the passport and COPR today.
Finally the process is over, now travel is the next big thing.

update:
Payment receipt notification received from VFS after 2 days of making payment.
This email has ' AIRWAY BILL NUMBER ' mentioned, which is basically Bluedart tracking number
Immediately on the next day envelope was picked from my home in Delhi (the same was experienced with a friend in Bangalore as well).

Finally today in 15 days, we received stamped passport of my child (in Delhi, India).
It seems VFS is working smoothly now.

Does anyone know when can we do the OHIP? I recently receive pre arrival services, they told me is not enough. This is a pain, really I dont undertand why termporary workers kids get OHIP no questions asked and PR do not...

Got COPR for my son today! Do I need to manually apply for SIN number, or will that come in the mail / further downstream in the process? When I landed, they just issued it to us.

did you get your passport back? how long did they take to stamp it after they received it ?

I only sent it to the VAC yesterday because it was difficult for my mother in law to get it all together and find a local courier to send it to the capital before they submit it out of country to mexico
It will prob be a few weeks now

You need to apply at a service canada unless you land at a port of entry during business hours, thats the only time they give SIN at the airport, its still from service canada…

Hi All,
There has been a lot of useful information shared here. I'd like to request help with my sponsorship application as well.

This is my case:
I have twin toddler boys (2.5 years old, born March 2019). My husband and I have been PR holders since September 2018, but we are residing in Dubai and will be making the move by the end of the year. However, my husband visits Canada often and during his trip in May 2020 to Canada, he dropped a sponsorship application for both my sons.
Please note: Our Canadian address is my sister in law's apartment address, since we reside with her when we visit Toronto.

This has been our timeline:

July 1, 2020 : Couriered Application to
CPC Sydney
49 Dorchester Street
Sydney, NS
B1P 5Z2

January 7, 2021 : Confirmation of Application received for both Twins
July 27, 2021: Received an email for both my twins, containing the following excerpt from Nova Scotia Case Processing Centre:

• Pursuant to regulation 130(1)(b), you have not demonstrated that you have been residing in Canada since the filing of this application. Please refer to Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations below for details.

August 28, 2021: I sent a case-specific webform showing my wife's enrollment in a Canadian university, starting September 2021 and our flight tickets booked to Canada.
September 1, 2021: AOR from IRCC London office.


Anyone who has or knows anyone who has experienced similar stages, please share your process and advice on what we can do to expedite the process. Is there any check the IRCC does to verify your station is Canada during the application?

Hey sharing timeline of inland PR application for my baby who was born is US...

6th April 2021 :- Application received at Sydney, NS.

22nd April 2021 :- AOR1

5th Aug 2021 :- Medical Request

9th Aug 2021 :- SA Approval email

19th Aug 2021 :- Medical Received/Passed update.

5th Sep 2021 :- Invitation for Pre-arrival (of no use as we were in Canada)

7th Sep 2021 :- Additional Details required email (They should have misplaced 1st page of IMM 0008 form but said its missing.) Anyways uploaded it same day.

8th Sep 2021 :- Permanent Resident Confirmation portal asking email to be used and port of entry details to create credentials.

9th Sep 2021 :- Got Credentials for Permanent Resident Confirmation portal and submitted photo, address details to send PR and confirmation that we are in Canada.

Also by error I think they sent another reminder email again asking email and port of entry details. I replied it is already provided, I already got credentials and even have submitted all details. No reply for this as expected.

10th Sep 2021 :- Got COPR . Also taking that went to ServiceOntario to get baby's HealthCard issued. Worked

They should send PR Card by mail in a week or two.

Congrats! are you in-land or out-land applicant? Mine was exactly one month after your application, no update after passing the medical exam yet! I'm in-land applicant.
