Hi,

I got a request for RCMP check yesterday, I have submitted my fingerprints yesterday and I believe you normally get the letter from RCMP is 2 weeks.

After submitting the document in MyCIC how long does it take to get PPR? My timeline below

27 March - ITA
22 Apr - Application & AOR
1 June - Medical Passed & Background "In Progress"
2 July - RCMP check - for principal applicant

Waiting....

My WP is expiring in August, Should i just go ahead and apply for BOWP? I am yet to receive my 2nd AOR (requested for GCMS notes on 20th June)

I'm reaching the 3 month now (tomorrow).
Last update I had was May 5th. Nothing after this. Not even update mail or so.
BG in progress
ECAS app received

I've had my BG check 'in progress' for over a month now.

ITA - Mar 27
AOR - Apr 13
Additional Doc requested - May 27
BG Check 'In Progress' - May 31

No activity since.. :(

That is tough!! How do you not go crazy checking ECAS & myCIC every hour?
Have you asked for GCMS notes? Have you lived in multiple countries before coming to Canada?

I lived in one country only and worked for one employer before coming here. I think the status changes on myCIC is not the true reflection of what is happening. According to me, they have not started processing April 14 AOR applications who applied within Canada. There is no point in applying GCMS notes as you get it after 1 month...

Guys from what I am seeing, all March applicants should see movement next week. I am seeing many people who got the invites on the 20th March and 27th March starting to see progress.

So who needs RCMP checks and bio taken?? Is it everyone? I have yet to find someone from the Commonwealth that needs this done? Im English by the way

hi guys, how long is the validity of the RCMP and Fingerprint if you have one already?

Hey did they ask you to send RCMP hard copy ?

No, to upload it to myCIC - we have applied for it, but still waiting to receive it

They will inform you in the request who needs it. In my case, it was for my husband only although I'm the principle applicant, not for me, and not for my 2 boys!

Hey April Applicants,,,
good to see other comrades with the same time line :)...
ITA - Mar 27
AOR - Apr 14
Additional Doc requested - May 27 ( CILPIP )
BG Check 'In Progress' - May 31 .... waiting is not the sweetest game specially if your spouse is not with you :( .

I have a question, with my eapplication i submitted Criminal Records Check from Ottawa, i did finger prints and electronic picture.
might they still need RCMP certificate ? is it different than Criminal Records Check ?

thanks

Has anyone who has applied for a BOWP with their first AOR received their new WP's?

I applied a day after applying for EE and receiving electronic AOR, i mean, my consultant did and it should be OK, as my status in ECAS is Application received - at this point, I heard, it should be good to go.

BUT, the CIC website says other thing: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/work/prov/bridging.asp

Anyways - there we re just a few people who actually got the "letter AOR" and I've seen other users here who never got it and they were granted BOWP based on the status of their application. It should take about 3 months now. It's a tricky place...there is a thread on this topic:
