I thought the LVO could handle your case only if it has been passed to them. Maybe it is indeed what has happened. Ottawa had sent your case to them. Could you please tell if you wrote a local CSE or dropped them an email at their general email address? Thanks.
It couldn't have happened like that because I wrote to my LVO right after I sent a case transfer request email to CIC. It was a matter of minutes, not days. It seems like LVOs have enough information about our cases to be able to act at any moment in time. And one more time: do not get involved with CVACs on this until asked by your LVO, they can mislead you.

kinda depressing to realize theres still lot of may apps still being processed.... i received aor july 30 guess iv still got several months to go

We have update for the situation of Nodet and Mojo and I am hoping that others just did not update us with their good news.

If you are inland, You might be able to get the visa with the current one! I remember that one of the forum members here send them and inquiry about his situation and while we was waiting to the answer sent his passport for renewing but meanwhile CIC emailed him back that It is fine and since he is inside he can send the old one! If you are outlander definitely renew your passport, if you are inlander don't count on my words only send them an inquiry or call the cic center and talk with an agent to make sure that's the case before sending your passport.

cic has become the most mysterious org on earth...

Dublinfunk observed something opposite with LVO telling him to wait for Ottawa to initiate changes.

I will think about how to proceed over the weekend.

Thank you, salseiro!

MapleIt, nodet, others...thinking of everyone still waiting. May good news come your way very soon. I was surprised to read a couple of people in other threads post PPR updates on a Sunday.
