hi guys,
i'm going to request CBSA notes to make sure if I'm undergoing enhanced security screening, what should I write here?

*Requests must include sufficient detail to enable an experienced employee of the CBSA, with a reasonable effort, to identify the records that are being requested. Examples include, but are not limited to, time periods, file numbers, client identifiers, file names, report titles, locations (office, port of entry or region/branch), names of individuals, passport numbers, dates of birth (if requesting traveller history or immigration files).

But why did they made you do another set of blood tests?
Becaise they found something on the first one early february. The doctor asked anither one early march and asked us to see a specialist. Same results and the specialist said no danger anymore and no treatment needed. But ircc asked for a third test early may. I presume it is for a 3 month control. Kind of stressful

On the last page of my notes there is a partially redacted entry says “Adm/Security Based on the information provided, [redacted]” and my security field is redacted on the main page. There is no Adm/Security entry before that and my security page doesn’t have many sub-activities.

Does it mean it is currently progressing or it has already been approved?

Dear @legalfalcon,

Is it true that nowadays, every outland applicant goes through security screening record/comprehensive check by CSIS and then CBSA, where the only difference is that some applications go through them in hours while others take years?

Is having "Security: not started" (with no signs of redacted paragraphs) on CBSA notes a red flag of a more comprehensive screening than simply "Security: [blank]"?

Does having a long Canada/US study/work history impact the length of the investigation positively or negatively?

Thank you for your attention!

No. Not all applications will go through a Comprehensive Security Screening. As per the security screening manual, All outland applicants will go through the comprehensive check, but only those applications that hit indicators in the IC-2 manual will require extensive screening.

You can read the complete security screening manual <https://bit.ly/3KIeu1R>

Thank you so much! I'm reading the manual right now @legalfalcon

Looks like the actual criteria (Chapter 2) are redacted for a good reason, as expected

If CBSA notes say "Security: Not started", with no apparent redactions, no mentions of VITs, and no officer assigned, does this mean it could be ongoing at CSIS?

My CSIS notes are taking longer than expected to arrive

Security screening is initiated by CBSA and then sent to CSIS for some. If the CBSA notes say, not started, then SS has not been initiated and CSIS will not be involved at this stage.

Also, the notes are always 3-6 weeks old, they do not provide any realtime information.
