Thanks a lot @legalfalcon

You said that once the application is approved, the file is closed. It is considered closed even if still there is no PPR or COPR issued?
Yes, as soon as the application is approved, it is closed. Many application that have been approved, have not been issued COPRs since the COPR has a validity and the checks (criminality, medicals, security) in the application have a shelf life.

It is easier for IRCC to re-open and complete or extended the checks and then issue a COPR, as compared to ask the applicant to return the COPR and re-issue a new one after doing the checks.

@legalfalcon Can we use hotel for quarantine in Canada or we are supposed to use isolated space like AirBNB ?
What's your vaccination status and when do you intend to travel? If you aren't fully vaccinated, it's mandatory that you quarantine in a government-approved hotel for three days. If you test negative for covid after the 3days in the hotel, you can proceed to AirBnB for the remaining 11days.

Hello @legalfalcon

On my CBSA notes, the Final is Approved and under Group Name, it's written CPCO COVID RFV
What does CPCO COVID RFV means?

Thanks a lot!
These are groups in which applications are clubbed for the ease of processing.

CPCO - Case Processing Centre Ottawa
RFV - Ready for visa

Most likely your application was on hold due to travel restrictions.

Hello @legalfalcon

I've started my PGDM course in Jan 2021 and it will end in August 2021. I have my study permit from march 2021 to December 2021.

Now what should I do after 1st course?

1) Should I opt for work visa from September 2021?
P.s. My CRS score after 1 year work will be 492 without CLB 9 in IELTS. My concern is if I opt this option, will I be able to get 1 year of CEC experience before I apply for PR as I need minimum of 1 year of experience and work permit is also of 1 year. If I opt for this option and something goes wrong (delay in getting work under my NOC leading to less than 1 year work experience on my NOC code) what is the other way to get through it in breathing period at the end of my work visa? Will leaving Canada be the only option? Or can I opt for a 2nd PGDM course during this breathing period?

2) Or should I opt for 2nd course to be on safe side which will give me 3 years of work permit through which I can easily get 1 year work experience on my NOC code. If I choose this option is it necessary to go for Sept 2021 intake or I can take a break of 4 months and go for January 2022 intake?

Hi @legalfalcon

1) If I have resided in Canada or another country for a significant amount of time (~3 months at a time) in hotels/AirBnBs as a tourist with an eTA/visa free without working or studying or some other specific activity, do I need to include in it my Address History in my PR application?

2) Would I need to include my student residence in Address/Travel history if I was studying in the same country but living both in it and my main residence ?

3) Are upfront medicals currently permitted for outland applications? Can I submit the proof of doing them right after the panel doctor appointment or do I have to wait for the results to submit them with my PR application?

Hello @legalfalcon
Any clarification on this would be very much appreciated.
I am FSWO AOR Dec 2020. Back when I applied, min. PoF for 2 persons was 16,135CAD. We declared we will bring to Canada 16,150CAD but had more than that to show in our account.
Now, today I see min. PoF has updated to 16,449. I see no section to update this in my account after AOR.

Is the PoF locked the day AOR is sent, or do I now have to send a Webform notifying them that I want to increase my declared PoF so that it matches the new minimums? Thank you so much for the great help always

This is a choice you will have to make based on the chances of your getting work and how likely are to find work immediately after you finish.

1. yes

2. yes

3. Upfront medicals are permitted and you only need an upfront sheet from the doctor after your meds are done. The results will be sent to IRCC directly by IRCC. See https://bit.ly/3cxnr0w

Any changes to law or regulations after you have submitted your application do not apply to applications that were submitted before the change. It only applied to applications that will be submitted after the change was notified.

Hello @legalfalcon

I raised a webform for latest confirmation on my PNP-EE (Outland) application submitted on 24 Dec 2020. Today after ten days they give a very generic reply that "Application is in Process". They didn't mentioned anything regarding eligibility, security, VO etc. do you think I missed or raised a wrong enquiry forum. Or IrCC replied generally to everyone in this format?
