@legalfalcon
Two years ago I have given ielts and got 8777 but just short of 10-12 points because I only had bachelor degree. So, in 2017 i have joined master of engineering and completed recently. And also in ielts i got 8777 again. Now my question is i have worked from 2012 to 2017 and then done my master. So could i get the points for foreign work experience under express entry.?
Yes, you can claim pints for the work experience as long as it happened in the last 10 years.

Application is currently pending review by an officer.

This review means what?
Visa office- Singapore
Fsw-o
The eligibility takes place in 2 stages. First an analyst will review and make a recommendation. Then this is reviewed by an officer.

The stage between the recommendation and the review by an officer is pending review.

Please advice @legalfalcon
My AOR is aug 16th
RR for pof due to currency fluctuation which happened on October and I have uploaded the updated documents on November 2018
But still now no movement .. called cic and they say it’s under review and in queue for review ..
my question is should I upload new bank statement and bank letter again?
If you have already uploaded the revised document, then there is no need to be concerned. You be patient.

Dear @legalfalcon ,

It is often said that "substantial number of the main duties" mean 60~70%, but can we exclude those duties that begin with May when we calculate the percentage?

For example, among the 8 duties of NOC 4112, there are 6 without may & 2 with may
  • Advise clients of their legal rights and all matters related to law
  • Research legal precedents and gather evidence
  • Plead clients' cases before courts of law, tribunals and boards (lawyers only)
  • Draw up legal documents such as real estate transactions, wills, divorces and contracts, and prepare statements of legal opinions
  • Negotiate settlements of civil disputes (lawyers only)
  • Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law
  • May act as mediator, conciliator or arbitrator
  • May act as executor, trustee or guardian in estate and family law matters.
Thus, should the denominator be 8 or 6?

Thank you!!
Here substantive is a subjective. It does not mean that you have to meet all the JDs, just that you meet most of them.

As regards 4112, lawyers work in specialized fields and most will not meed all JDs anyway.

Dear Legal Falcon,

I would also like to have clarification on below regarding my medicals.

After my AOR on 05 Jan 19, received BIL on 15 Feb 19 during that time my medical status changed as "We are reviewing the results of your medical exam" after which the status remains the same till date for medical.

I did medical exam for myself and wife by 26 Nov 18. Most importantly, I had TB during 2010 which was already cured and it was clearly detailed to CIC due to scar in the X ray report. Also attached all the medical reports along with doctor certificate received in 2010 stating that it was completely cured and fit to work anywhere without any issues.

I checked with my panel doctor where he stated that he has already uploaded the file to CIC and no more further request received from CIC.

I need to just get to know that if there is no furtherance request and the status remains same as reviewing of medical results, why the status is still in review. My VO is London and hence no update received when called to CIC.. However, ordered 1st GCMS notes in June 1st week. Thanks for your support.
If you have disclosed a prior medical issue, even if it my have been cured, it will take additional time as IRCC will have to make a decision of whether to pu you under surveillance when you arrive in Canada. This is normal and no need to worry.

The GCMS notes won't disclose anything much about medics. For medicals, you need GCMS - Medicals, which is your medical file.

Hi @legalfalcon
I received an AOR on June 11, 2019, and realized today that I have made a minor(but could lead to unnecessary confusion) error in the LOE. Should I communicate this to IRCC through CSE or is there any other approach as well.
You have 2 options:

1. You can send a replacement document, i.e. the revised document via CSE

2. Send a cSE and explain the error.

Either one works.

@legalfalcon, please help. Is this normal?: I got a ghost update last Thursday. When I checked, I noticed a subtle change under my BG check status. It changed from "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information" to "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check". I am confused and worried, because it looks like they went a step backward instead of forward.
My timeline thus far:
AOR: April 15, 2019
ADR: to fill Form IMM5562 (travel history). May 28, 2019
ADR uploaded: May 29, 2019.
BiL: May 29, 2019
MEP: May 30, 2019
Ghost update: June 13, 2019
PNP_EE Outland applicant, family of 4.

Thanks!
This is normal and during the processing of your application, you will see that this status will change a few times.

No need to worry .

@legalfalcon :Hi Sir,I'm planning to add additional funds to my proof of funds since my gcms notes has mentioned RR on the provident funds and a gift deed for 5lkhs has been accepted.when I raise a webform should I simply show only the additional funds and it's proof or should I show the consolidated funds(new funds proof+old gift deed proof)?please advise
It should be consolidated funds, and the documents should be explained so as to avoid confusion.

Hi @legalfalcon, I've just received gcms notes (AOR Jan 28). My eligibility current status on page 2 shows 'Not Started'. In the application status section, it shows eligibility status changing multiple times (see image please). Do you have any idea why it is being updated many times? Also, where it says "Passed-Candidate" (highlighted in red), does that mean that eligibility will eventually be passed? Thanks a lot man!
Where you see passed -candidate, this is as per your info that you entered.

Calculate is where your CRS score is calculated.

The most important info is the notes in the last 3-5 pages. This is where the details are.

In most cases the application is transferred to the LVO when the eligibility is about to be passed.
To get a clear picture, you will need to see the GCMS notes.
Thanks legalfalcon. Requested for my notes and hopefully I would get them by the second week of July. Will keep you posted.

Hi @legal Falcon,

Thanks for your reply. PNP EE, AOR 05 Jan 19, BIL 15 Feb 19

If so, then I am expecting that my application is simultaneously in progress with other checks such as criminality, eligibility etc even though the medical is in review. I received ADR on 15 May & submitted on 23 May _Last date (1. Please confirm that you both are still residing in KSA, 2. Source of Funds with evidence) as I had shown the POF in FD's. Now additional docs submitted is in review.

I would like to know that at which stage these ADR will be requested and further process to go for final PPR stage.

Hi @legalfalcon,

I am a bit worried. My GCMS notes show a decrease in CSR score. Apparently, it is because of my responsibilities or work documents not being enough.

As per my list of currently submitted documents for job responsibilities and duties included
1. Statutory Declaration of Responsibilities - Self
2. Letter explaining the reason for self-declaration
3. Copy of the original conversation with Company HR and Manager for the responsibilities on letterhead and the list of the same duties on email.
4. Appointment Letter
5. Confirmation Letter
6. Salary Slips for - May and April 2018
7. Salary Account details from the date it was started until the AOR date.
8. Tax payment receipt

Below are the links to the GCSM notes screenshot and my current status on the different steps. Please can someone help me with is this reduction heading to possible rejection. Please, it's freaking me out. And what other documents can I pro-actively submit to make my job background stronger?

2. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yiFeNptPh7hwAS27NVONODDCYGWsGZOQ/view?usp=sharing

Current Application Status
1. As per June 2019 : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-5x8hSPk3-AszO4R5gMk6SQN2sGi8vab/view?usp=sharing
2. As per October 2018 : https://drive.google.com/file/d/15t0EjfIVFoH0YFIlbPpYNIOT-4rmGxrF/view?usp=sharing

In addition to the above, to give you all some more information, I was recently asked to do my re-meds again and upon checking the comments, the ones under "Additional Documents" changed to "Not Applicable". The one under Background check too was updated.

Thank you in advance.

Regards,
Tanmayee
