Two years ago I have given ielts and got 8777 but just short of 10-12 points because I only had bachelor degree. So, in 2017 i have joined master of engineering and completed recently. And also in ielts i got 8777 again. Now my question is i have worked from 2012 to 2017 and then done my master. So could i get the points for foreign work experience under express entry.?

Dear Legal Falcon,

I would also like to have clarification on below regarding my medicals.

After my AOR on 05 Jan 19, received BIL on 15 Feb 19 during that time my medical status changed as "We are reviewing the results of your medical exam" after which the status remains the same till date for medical.

I did medical exam for myself and wife by 26 Nov 18. Most importantly, I had TB during 2010 which was already cured and it was clearly detailed to CIC due to scar in the X ray report. Also attached all the medical reports along with doctor certificate received in 2010 stating that it was completely cured and fit to work anywhere without any issues.

I checked with my panel doctor where he stated that he has already uploaded the file to CIC and no more further request received from CIC.

I need to just get to know that if there is no furtherance request and the status remains same as reviewing of medical results, why the status is still in review. My VO is London and hence no update received when called to CIC.. However, ordered 1st GCMS notes in June 1st week. Thanks for your support.

Hey,

I'm in a similar situation. AOR Sept 17th.
Wife got Medical furtherance for TB test on 17th Jan and updated the results on 30th jan .
No updates from then. Even our file is in London VO.
Yesterday we received a mail from them saying that the spouses medicals are still under review by their medical team.. it's been more than 9 Months now...

Hi legalfalcon. So my AOR is July 29th 2018. My visa office was Ottawa. When I called in January 2019 I was told it was awaiting final review. Called again in April and was told the same thing. This month u called them again and was told my file has been transferred to Accra visa office on the 30th of May 2019. My question is.. Does it mean they are thru with the review or is Accra visa office suppose to continue with the review. Plz I need answers... Plzzzz

Hi @legalfalcon I got my application rejected because of Pcc and I am in the process of applying again I have a question regarding dates , as I am more and more cautious about what I write
I lived in country A from 1 January 2015 until 31 May 2015 then arrived in country B in 1 June 2015 until now let say

My address history should show this exact same days right ? The 1 day gap is not a real one if you know what I mean, can anyone confirm

Thanks

Please help dear @legalfalcon . I am collecting my documents for post ITA submission and I thank you for all the guidance you have provided. But while reviewing my previous employer letter of reference, i found out that the letterhead of the company doesn't have "official email id" mentioned on it.

As far as I remember, there was no official ID in my organisation and separate divisions had separate email ids on gmail.

Rest letter head has telephone number, address of the company and fax number. So will the missing email be any problem ?

Please Guide

Dear @legalfalcon, yesterday I received pre landing appointment email from IRCC Montreal saying that, they are ready to issue me COPR and I have to report at Montreal office within 30 days of email.

According to the email, I need passport, 2 photographs and a CSQ to be admitted into the office. However, I don't have a CSQ as I applied in Express entry under CEC program. I am not sure if this is an error or a general email template of Montreal office.

I called IRCC to confirm the email was legit and agent confirmed that my file was approved and mail was legit. Shall I reply to the email sender and inform that I don't have a CSQ or shall I walk in and see what happens? Thanks for your time.

P.S. :- Email came from CIC-QUE-Pre-Landing@cic.gc.ca

If you are in Quebec, then you need to have a CSQ to remain in Quebec. As a PR, you can reside anywhere except QC.

So send an email and clarify this.

You can ask the person issuing the letter to mention his email id. The idea is to be able to contact the employer.

As per IRCC the reference letter should have the following:

  • should be an official document printed on company letterhead (must include the applicant’s name, the company’s contact information [address, telephone number and email address], and the name, title and signature of the immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company),
  • should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties and responsibilities, job status (if current job), dates worked for the company, number of work hours per week and annual salary plus benefits

Please @legalfalcon really worried

In Gcm notes

Security Admissibility 1 . what this means ? (passed security or not )

There will be 4 security related activities. This is normal and all GCMS notes have it.

This is not an issue. You just stick on to either the departure or arrival date in your travel history.

Similarly, stick to date when you left or date when you moved into the new place. This will give you a clear document without gaps.

In most cases the application is transferred to the LVO when the eligibility is about to be passed.
To get a clear picture, you will need to see the GCMS notes.
