Hi Asivad,

Thanks. I have raised a CSE.
My only concern is that they might take a month's time to update it.
In that case, should I also call them to update it or drop an email to a specific email address?

Please advise.

Thanks in advance.
Not Required...

They may take a month's time to respond to you but not sure when they actually take action on your CSE request. It may be earlier for all you know. Let's give them the benefit of doubt.

Agreed. But there is a high possibility of missing important communication as well.

Hi All,

I have a doubt regarding the education details to be provided. In my Wes report it shows:

Summary: Bachelors Degree 4 Year

1. Secondary School Diploma and Diploma 2 Years
2. Bachelors Degree 4 Year

In CIC website These are the sections mentioned

Express Entry education factor

University degree at the Doctoral (PhD) level
University degree at the Master’s level
Professional degree needed to practice in a licensed profession
Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees.
Bachelor’s degree or other programs (three or more years) at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute
Two-year degree, diploma or certificate from a program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute
One-year degree, diploma or certificate from a program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute
Secondary school (high school diploma)

When u Open Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees section, it shows

Important notice: One must be for a program of three or more years.

ECA assessment results:

A three-year or more certificate, diploma, or degree

PLUS any of the results in the sections below (not including secondary/high school), or:

Post-Bachelor's Certificate
Post-undergraduate certificate
Post-Bachelor's Diploma
Post-undergraduate diploma
Graduate Certificate
Graduate Certificate with a focus in [area of concentration]
Postgraduate certificate
Postgraduate Diploma
Graduate Diploma with a focus in [area of concentration]
Graduate diploma
two-year Postgraduate Diploma, specializing in [name of discipline]
two-year Bachelor’s after degree with a focus in [area of concentration]
one-year Postgraduate Certificate in [name of discipline]
one-year of graduate study with a focus in [area of concentration]
Study Toward a Master's Degree

The highlighted sentence mentions any degree or diploma Plus any of the results in the sections below (not including secondary/high school), or:

So the sections below are

Bachelor’s degree or other programs (three or more years) at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute
Two-year degree, diploma or certificate from a program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute
One-year degree, diploma or certificate from a program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute
Secondary school (high school diploma)

So not including secondary school / high school diploma

and then they have Put an OR for the list of items they gave below it like

Post-Bachelor's Certificate
Post-undergraduate certificate
Post-Bache ..............................
..................................................

So my diploma comes under the section

Two-year degree, diploma or certificate from a program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute

College Diploma
College Diploma (two years)
Diploma (two years)
Two-year diploma
Two-year diploma in [name of discipline]
Secondary school diploma and diploma (two years)
Associate Degree
Associate of [Arts/Science] degree
Post-secondary Diploma with a focus in [area of concentration]
Two-year post-secondary Diploma with a focus in [area of concentration]
Two-year associate degree

So IMO i think i can select two or more degree or diploma option. Please put your thoughts on this please.....

Hi Asivad,

To get UK PCC for my spouse, we indicated her previous address as a current address (we couldn't get 2 proofs of current address for the current one). So in the PCC, her old address is shown as a current one. The problem is that, in Personal history, we are filling in her work experience and the current work address and PCC address don't match (2 different addresses in 2 different cities).
Do you think this will be misrepresentation from our side?

Thanks in advance.

Best to my knowledge, they have a trend of rejecting PR if your PCC does not cover all address you have lived in. They do this for India mostly. I am not sure about UK :) - Senior may advice better

35mmX45mm was the OLD spec.

Nick, i have the same issue, I filed my app with aor on 2 nov 2015 and joined a new employer on 9 nov 2015. I asked the same question on this forum and was informed by one of the member that since i am PNP i do not need to inform CIC about my next job after AOR :) I hope thats the same case with you as well :)

Asivad, my friend if we are required to update CIC with new employment (post AOR - being ITA under PNP) please guide us.

Great,
Thanks friend

Hey guys
Please help me
I applied for Express entry in JAn (PNP)
Can i submit another application For PR through old system?
I am scared for express entry so i am thinking to submit one more application as old paper application.
Can i do that?

The old system doesn't exist anymore. EE is the only way.

I am out of status applied for restoration. Do need to show funds now? When i applied i had job but now i can't work? I applied under PNP(CEC)
Do i need to submit new POF?

No. You were invited under PNP-CEC and that's how it stays even if you lose status.

Please help

On the final checklist page, it mentions below for Proof of Funds:

Express Entry – Permanent Residents

If you are applying for permanent residence in Canada, you must provide an official letter issued by your financial institution indicating your financial profile. This must:

list of all your bank (chequing and savings) and investment accounts, the account numbers, dates each account was opened and the balance of each account over the past six months,
list all outstanding debts, such as credit cards and loans,
be printed on the letterhead of the financial institution, and include your name and the contact information of the financial institution (address, telephone number and e-mail address).

Please suggest: Would I need to show all credit cards? I have credit cards of 3 different countries, most of which are paid up and have no out-standings, but reaching out to 8 banks? as if there is no due, no bank sends a credit card statement. Also what to do about the Home loan? Is it to be shown or not?
Keep those credit cards out of this. You don't have to share all your financial details. The same goes for home loan as well.

Hi Asivad,

I'm asking this for my friend.

He had submitted his EE profile 2 weeks back. He is in Canada as a student.

While filling the personal history in EE, he didn't mention an internship and a 4 months job he did. Instead he mentioned that period
as unemployed as he was not claiming any points.

But only now he realized that he had mentioned this internship and job in student visa while coming to Canada.

So he is worried whether it will affect his PR appln. and how to inform CIC about this information now.

Kindly help in this regard.

Thank you.
Won't have any impact on his PR application. No reason to inform IRCC.
