They said they won't split! They asked for form of representative to be filled and l thought it's gonna happen. But two month past nothing has happened. I called IRCC, the agent told the officer put a note saying "waiting for BC"! Unrelated infor, Unrelated actions, no one is responding

Also did that a month ago, just regular respond saying "rest assured we're processing your application..."
I am in a similar situation. It is so annoying..
They've not split the applications so far for the same reason you mentioned.
It sounds to me they hold the dependent's application as a hostage... :(
What can potentially go wrong with the principal applicant's background that would result in holding a dependent application?
It might be their laziness as they want to finalize the family together...

I agree, the officer are just soooo lazy, I called once, the agent was most probably sleeping in her bed as she wasn't fully awake yet and was just replying pre-written stuff without listening to what I say! Whatever it is, it sucks! I was happy to be Canadian once, now after all this, it just ruined everything. None of these that we're going through makes sense. If we had a potential background issue and could "harm the society in Canada" you should've done it before giving me a PR, what's the reason for doing it now? If it's just a regular process, then there should be an explanation and an expected timeline. Sigh...

I assume they have already checked the background when they process the PR application. Conducting a lengthy background check again during the citizenship process is unnecessary, especially if it involves the same level of security check as the PR's. It would simply be burning human resources on their end.
When was your AOR?
Have you ever requested CSIS notes?

Hello house,
I have passed my exam since 22nd of February in ONTARIO and till now no date for oath taking. My tracker indicated exam and BV completed, the rest has been in progress status for more than 3 months now.I sent a web form ,all they said was IN PROGRESS. Please is anyone that submitted in December 2024 or took his or her exam in February in Ontario having same problem? Please share your stories with me. I just believe 100 days is too much from citizenship exam to oath taking .
PLEASE YOUR THOUGHTS
thanks

There are people who have been waiting 2 years since their test. You're still significantly under the current average processing time, which should be your expectation, and no movement 100 days after test isn't all that uncommon, both in Ontario and elsewhere. Feel free to contact IRCC or your MP, but you're still not in "I don't know how long my application will take" territory. Good luck.

AOR Feb 2024. Yes, requested those a couple times, BC is in progress! Nothing useful out of it, or maybe I don't know what type of information I should look for in those officer notes
