We submitted our application yesterday. We submitted Two envelopes (Sponsorship application/OWP) in a Courier Package/Envelope (xpresspost).

We did not put the two envelopes within an envelope, but we did put the applicant's name and DOB on both envelopes.

Will this be a problem?

Definitely, this could slow down your application processing!!! You must always put them in one envelop!!! I don't why you decide to mail it separately while CIC website says mail them together, especially with new application kit!! You should expect delays and hope that they can merge your files. CIC receive hundreds of applications per day!!

Ouch. That was a very avoidable error.
Your envelopes might reach different visa officers. Each one thinking why it is missing the other envelope/set of forms.

They are within the same package that we sent. Not two different packages. It was sent all together.

I don't know why posters above are freaking out. The mailroom will open your one courier envelope, to find two envelopes inside, correct? (one envelope for sponsorship, one for OWP). Open those envelopes, got everything.

Shouldn't be any problem, it's not like you sent them separately.

Then you're probably ok. It's best practice to submit everything in just one envelope, with the barcode page on the top of each section. As long as your barcode pages are included, all should be fine.

Yep. All together (2 labeled envelopes) in one big courier package. Each smaller envelop has the barcodes at the top of the document pile.

That means, there is a greater likelihood that they will return both applications and that might take longer!!

There was a misunderstanding in this thread :) . I sent both envelopes together in the same package, not separate.

At this point, that discussion is moot. OP has said the two applications were each put into a smaller envelope, barcode pages on top, and sent as one package in the same Xpresspost envelope. Everything is fine.

OH OK. Then you have no problem at all. Just wait for AOR!!! ALL THE BEST
