STUDY PERMIT PROCESSING TIME - DELAY with Bangalore VFS.

Dear All,

I would like to know your opinion.

I have applied for my study permit at Bangalore VFS(offline) on July 21st and the processing time for the STUDY PERMIT application was 4 weeks and as i could see many of the applicants who have applied at Bangalore VFS on or before July 11th hasn't got any update till now.

Is it is essential to contact the High Commission of Canada in India about these delays?

Processing time for Bangalore VFS is 5 weeks for General and 4 weeks for SPP( Excluding holidays and transit time). Applicants of 5th July are awaiting results, yours is hardly 20 days old.

Online application applied on August 9th has been approved three days ago.

And offline applications from July 12th are still waiting for a status update in GC Key account. :'( :'( :'( :'(

Applications are getting faster approvals from Delhi...My friend got Visa within 60 hrs...But these are exceptional cases...Ideally it all depends on how fast the verification and back ground check is done. Some people have filed complaint against bangalore consulate which is not a good sign. Applicants are not supposed to do so till 5 weeks of completion...We should understand that We are pleading someone to enter their country and home...By complaining it further makes your case weak and worse...Have patience as Bangalore VFS will not be affected by all this...They will take their own time and no one has any clue on the situation there...All the Best...

Hey Sunny, first medicals reports are reviewed as thats the most important aspect. If medicals are not clear or good then Visa Officers will save their time and efforts of further processing.
If medicals passed today means your file was started 4-5 days ago.

Your results should be out by now. One of the students got a VISA in four days today. he applied on 22nd.
Maybe your verification is taking longer than it should.
You may await a few more days and hopefully you should get by next week.

Yes, thats the right calculation. However, take a note that few exceptional cases are pending since 5th july and the only reason they are not declared coz the verification process is not complete. As per today's VFS update, Study Visa processing time has been reduced to 4weeks.
Online applications are twice faster than paper...
Next week is most critical as consulate will try and clear college applications.

I have applied paper based under generic category on 3rd august but till now no reply. I have linked my paper application to online, where my status is open. My class starts on 6th sep, am very much upset due to the delay. Kindly suggest me what to do now.

I applied on 29th July spp based paper application in Mumbai and its being processed in Bangalore.
On 24th August my medical status changed to passed.
Can u guys tell me when can I expect my final decision.
