My Canadian work permit application is currently under processing from South Korea.
My 7-year-old daughter’s visitor visa application was previously refused. I am now trying to apply for a study permit for her as an accompanying dependent child.
However, the IRCC eligibility questionnaire does not allow me to continue and keeps showing:
“not eligible under a federal program.”
My work permit is not yet approved, and my daughter does not yet have a Canadian school acceptance letter.
Has anyone successfully applied for a minor child study permit while the parent’s work permit was still under processing? Did you need a school acceptance letter first, or did you wait until the parent’s work permit was approved?
Thank you.
