Hi,

Need some clarifications. Am in process of applying the study permit in Singapore. Is it you took police certificate also upfront and uploaded the documents while submitting the application? Or no need to take police certificate and wait for their request on police certificate? Kindly help to advice on this. Thanks.

Hi JRS9,
No need to take police certificate while submitting the application.
We will have to just wait and only if they request for a police certificate then we need to send an appeal to Singapore police using this link for non-citizens. Certificate of Clearance (police.gov.sg)
Please note that We cannot get Police certificate from singapore police without any proof of request from IRCC.
Again police certificate in Singapore is a completely one whole process. so better dont worry or get confused about that for now.

I took upfront Singapore Police CoC and used LoA letter for the Overseas Authority letter.

Hi guys I've applied for my study permit on 10th march, my medical and biometrics have been updated by 15th march.

There has been no update since then.
I'm supposed to start my fall semester from 1st September at UOttawa.

Is there anything I can do from my end to expedite this process ? It's been more than 2 months now.

Hi Siddt, Based on IRCC processing timeline for now - it says 12 weeks for student permit from outside canada.
So, by right 12 weeks from 15th march 2022 is 7th June 2022.
Hence wait for couple of weeks and if no update till 7th June then submit a webform on the same day requesting for an update on your application.. they should probably respond to you within 3 to 5 days or may even receive PPR asap. Thanks.
