I am a phD student in my study permit. I had defense in December 1st week and have final version submission of my thesis with minor revision by December 14. I am waiting for my passport reissue, then i will apply for work permit once i get my passport, probably by January.
I work a part time job. I am wondering what would be my last date as a student. B'coz i heard i wont be able to work after being a student (confirmation of degree?) and before applying for work permit. My question is when do i stop being a student. Is it the date i finish all the university formalities? Or is it my defense date? or till the end of December? Thanks for your time.
