We submitted our files in September 2021, received our AOR in August 2023, and got our PAL in March 2024.
Could you please share your timeline—submission, AOR, and PAL dates?

It is sad to hear so!
According to some relative websites posted, I learn that the Start-up under priority DO which is running inside Canada will be more in the front line against the same one but it is running outside Canada.
I assume that your case should be as same as mine. My DO is Angel Investor.
By the way, as you mentioned above "Your GCMS note stated that you didn’t meet the criteria for priority processing", could you please tell me it was mentioned on which page No of your GCMS Note....for example, it was on the 2nd or 3rd page,...of GCMS...I wish to know it so that I can easily check again in my last and the next coming results of my ordered GCMS note.

As per the Ministerial Instructions (MIs) published on May 4th, 2024, applications that are not supported by a commitment that meets one of the conditions stated in the MIs will be processed following those that are prioritized, on a first-in, first-out basis, as annual admissions (levels) space allows. This application will be processed once all applications that meet the prioritization criteria have been processed.

Dears Members,

IRCC has updated the processing time for the Start-Up Visa Program to 43 months, up from the long-standing 40 months.

This is the first time I’ve seen a 3-month jump in a single update, after months of stability.

Surprisingly, I take this as a positive sign — it might mean IRCC has finalized some files and is adjusting timelines based on real progress.

I think 3 months jump is huge, it is a sign that IRCC has slowed down their processing of SUV applications and soon the Processing Time might cross 55 months (like Federal self employed) or may be even more. as backlog is huge and the quota is too less.

Hello members. Thanks for sharing your application status and info. I submitted my application in Feb 2022, AoR in Oct 2024, ADR, Medical PCC in Nov 24 and PAL1 and 2 received in Nov 24. Thereafter no communication.
I am in Canada since 2022, single applicant with 3 family members, running my tech startup though when I applied there was no priority DO.
Recently ordered GCMS notes.All is completed and it said Ministerial Instruction my application will be processed only after all priority applications have been processed.
Have completed 40months already, what is everyone here doing, is there a collective letter we write to immigration minister to consider all old applications too, reconsider quota.
Has anyone here seen any progress in their files since Jan 2025. Please advise. Thanks/regards

It makes us more discouraged when reading your shared information above. The timeline of our team is most likely the same as yours even older than it. Our last updates were in Dec 2024 for the 2nd Medical Request and ADR...and nothing so far even our DO is the priority one.
Yes, it seems to be that there is no any files moving forward since Jan 2025 so far too.
I wonder if the recent changes in Immigration policy have made any impacts to the IRCC processing time or the SUV quota of 2025 has been already reached the target or the process is paused by unknown reasons!
I have already ordered the GCMS note to see what happens in my files then will share to everyone.
Let's expect IRCC will start to process again

Hi Hali, I don’t think that 2025 quota is reached, me and my team is also in the same boat, got our second medical in Dec2024, and then PAL1 and PAL2 by Feb 2025 and nothing after that

GCMS notes ordered says eligibility, criminality, medical, security passed, info sharing complete, Misrepresentation-no issues, Final decision - Blank

One more thing IRCC hs done is that they did not request re medical for one of my partner and they have extended its validity unilaterally from their side till Dec 2025, that shows applications like ours and yours are in 2025 pipeline, so let’s hope for the best,

Your GCMS will give us more insights, please share info once you recieve, when did you apply for GCMS?

We too submitted 2nd Medical and feel our file is through non priority DO hence has been just kept aside. Considering the quota limitations, its indeed worrisome when will our file be processed.

Since your file is through priority DO, seems they will process it with priority. We dont know when will they process our file. We are up for our 4th year work permit renewal, its indeed worrisome.

We are with an Angel investor, All angel investors who have committed minimum of 75K $ are considered for Priority Processing, hence our DO is priority DO, yet we are waiting with no end in sight

Approached MP’s office and got a reply that all criteria’s are met and it’s just the final decision awaited, even MP’s office could not say how long this will take
