Hi Hali,

It will take the same time for you as a single person or for the whole family

It’s one application number, since you have applied for everyone under you, it will be easy for them to process

What happens when you don’t apply for dependants is that they will hide the data of dependent and those pages comes blank, with a statement saying that’s it’s done for privacy

So, don’t worry you will get GCMS very soon

Did you give separate consent form signed for each family member? This is important
Hi Aleem,
Thank you very much for your shared information!
It is very helpful and makes me feel better in a long frustrating time!!!
For the consent form signed => As the one we did last year, we often make "all in one" and each family member is asked to sign.
Cheers & Have a nice day

I looked into the Canada Startup Visa Program recently great option if you're an entrepreneur planning to settle and build in Canada. From what I gathered, the full process typically takes 12 to 16 months, depending on your paperwork, designated organization, and country of origin.

First, you need to get a Letter of Support from a designated organization (like a venture capital fund, angel investor group, or business incubator). That can take a couple of months on its own depending on how fast your pitch goes through. After that, it's mostly about submitting your permanent residence application and waiting on IRCC processing.

What surprised me was how many founders actually come over before full approval using a work permit tied to their startup, so they can get things moving. I’ve seen people set up operations, meet partners, and even start hiring.

For example, I recently helped someone in the travel & transport niche set up locally — they’re running a luxury airport transfer service in Toronto called torontoairportlimo.limo. They started with a few business-class clients and scaled up pretty quick thanks to pre-arrival planning and early lead gen.

So yeah — timeline varies, but if you're strategic, you can get your business moving while PR is still processing. Let me know if you want links to the designated org list or docs.
Hi Dharmaraj,
Thanks for your information!
As the information you have mentioned above, I assume that you must be one of the immigration lawyers or professional consultants for the Canada Start-up program.
At this moment, we haven't needed your service yet and may be needed in the near future for the other friends.
I reckon that you should have a lot of updated information regarding to SUV from IRCC, so could you please do us a favor to advise some information that all of us in this forum is eager to learn such as:
1) May you let us know => the target for PRs under the Start-up Visa of 2025 is 2000 =>Please advise if this counted number of PRs is only included PA or it is also counted the PA's dependents?
2) May you let us know how many PRs have been approved by IRCC under SUV from Jan-2025 so far?
Many thanks in advance
Hali

Hello,
The above message from Mr. Dharmaraj seems to be a promotional post only, which may not be appropriate in the middle of this important discussion thread. All the info shared is already well-known and available on the IRCC websites.
Let’s try to keep the focus on the actual conversation and updates...

Hello members. Thanks for sharing your application status and info. I submitted my application in Feb 2022, AoR in Oct 2024, ADR, Medical PCC in Nov 24 and PAL1 and 2 received in Nov 24. Thereafter no communication.
I am in Canada since 2022, single applicant with 3 family members, running my tech startup though when I applied there was no priority DO.
Recently ordered GCMS notes. All is completed and it said Ministerial Instruction my application will be processed only after all priority applications have been processed.
Have completed 40months already, what is everyone here doing, is there a collective letter we write to immigration minister to consider all old applications too, reconsider quota.
Has anyone here seen any progress in their files since Jan 2025. Please advise. Thanks/regards
Hello Ran,

I have a similar timeline progress as yours, my GCMS all completed and passed. completed almost 40 months and waiting. We are 3 applicants with families outside Canada. I would be interested in your proposal to submit a letter.

Thank you

Thanks for sharing Abufaris, we need more members to join for the collective letter.
Hope more members in similar timeline express interest, would be beneficial in putting forth our common concerns.
