The best choice is to apply Work permit application with the PR application. Normally the Startup visa timeline shows 31 months from date of application, however the time for work permit is subject to application and place you apply from.

Hi everyone,

So, I received my WP under the SUV program the last august. Now it's two months before it expires. I know the SUV WP was made to last the same time the application for the PR would be approved or not.

With the pandemic, every change we are well aware of. Did IRCC say anything about it? Because due to the delays now I have to reapply at least twice if we consider the 31 months...

What are your thoughts on this?

Hi guys, I just found this page on IRCC's website: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/transparency/committees/cimm-feb-15-17-2022/data-dashboard.html
It shows that the "Output" of Startup Visa is 778 in 2021 but the "Admission" of Startup Visa is only 383 in 2021 !!!
Does that mean the success rate of SUV has dropped to only 49%?
If this is the truth then the success rate of SUV from incubators should be evern lower. Maybe 30%? That's so low.
Please anyone correct me if I misunderstood!

I received passport request today, applied for SUV WP in December 2021, did medicals in December 2021, had to go see a specialist due to underling medical condition in Jan 2022, ADR IN January 2022. Passport request in June 2022 applied from south Africa

Since this is the going trend, can we truly rely on the 31 months processing time? No one seems to have any current update from Apr/May 2020 to show that files are being processed.. This is not encouraging at all
