Spouse visitor visa

Hi,
My spousal application submitted on July 20th, 2020. But I haven't received the file no: / AOR (acknowledgment of receipt) yet, So I applied for a visiting visa and got my biometric request on Sept 28th, and did the biometric on Oct 19th. But no other updates on both.
Any information would be highly useful.

Unfortunately all processing is quite delayed right now and there's not much you can do other than wait.

It's normal not to have heard anything yet regarding the spousal sponsorship application. Right now it seems that those who applied in April / May / June are receiving their first communication from IRCC and IRCC is confirming their file has been received and providing the file number. So it may be a few more months before you hear anything.

You haven't said where your spouse is located. However TRV applications are quite delayed as well right now.

Hello , any updates on your wife's visitor visa? also may I ask what have you used as a home ties please?
