My husband is on study permit in Canada. I'm planning to apply for a spouse open work permit visa. I'm from inda. How much bank balance should we show? Can it be from parents? Can I keep parents assets documents?
Practically, you dod not qualify for open work permit. You should simply apply for visitor visa and join as dependent on your husband PR.Hi everyone,
I got married on June 22, 2018. My husband is a canadian PR. After marriage he immediately left to Canada. On July 29 I applied for open work permit online and its been 3 months till today. My file is still in the same status as of the date of submission. They are still reviewing my eligibity. Not even medical certificate or additional supporting documents are being asked for. Why is the processing so delayed? Is there any chances of getting open work permit? Please advice
Just apply for Spousal PR file. You do not need open work permit at all.Hello
I am permanent residence of canada and i just got married in september 2018.Now i am applying for my Spouse open work permit.
My question is do i apply for Spousal PR file first or Open work permit first?
Which one is faster and recommended first?
Do not upload anything unless asked for. VO already has all that information with them. They have record of documents issued by them.Hi Guys,
I have applied for open work permit with my wife's study permit via vfs and her visa got approved and mine is still in progress...as she is in canada now...can i upload her study permit and university enrollment letter via webform
You can return to Canada on tourist visa and submit your passport.Hi All,
I am in a big dilemma right now. My wife is studying MBA in Canada and I went along with her on 5th September . I then applied for the open work permit application on 8th September from within Canada
as I thought of staying with her till my application was approved and then come back to India and give resignation, serve notice period in my current company and then go back.
I have a multiple entry tourist Visa. But somehow my company did not allow me to work remotely so I have to come back to India on 21st September. Now here are my doubts:
1)What happens if my application for OWP is approved wile I am in India? As I have to submit my passport, can I travel back to Canada on tourist visa and submit my passport?Am I allowed to do that?
2)Will I be denied entry if I follow 1?
3)Can my application be rejected as I left Canada during the process?
What should be the best thing for me to do?
Did you get SOWP finally??Hi All,
I have applied for spouse open work permit with my wife's study application on July 11th ( Offline)...My wife's visa was approved on August 13th and my status still shows In progress....My medicals are passed and no additional documents are also required
Do not worry or wait for term or anything. Just apply as you get your student visa.I'm planning to do my masters in Canada sept 2018. Can I apply for Student visa and a dependent open work permit visa for my spouse together?
My consultant said, I should apply and get my student visa first and then after a semester I have to apply for SOWP and bring my wife into canada.
I have a 1 years old baby too.
What is the chance of rejection when I apply after my first semester. ?
Please give me some idea about it.
Watch it :Hi Everyone,
I'm holding a PGWP and having fulltime job as NOC A. I'm going to apply work permit for my wife and study permit for my children. They aren't Canada resident. Could you please help to show me how to process? I read through CIC but I only found that my wife is eligible to apply C41 without any further information. I appreciate your help.
