You’ve already been told repeatedly what to do. Just contact IRCC and tell them you’re changing him to non accompanying.

Hello everyone!

I need help regarding my spouse case. I had applied for PR under express entry as single; however, I got married after acquiring my COPR and notified CIC of my change in marital status. Unfortunately, a month back I found out my husband is cheating on me and plans to divorce me once we reach Canada. I found out through some recordings and chat. Now I wish to divorce him but no legal proceedings has started yet. It's just the families talking right now. Yesterday I got passport request but since this marriage is "over" how do I proceed from here?
If I inform CIC of the separation, I have no legal document in hand to support it.
Please help!!

So sorry to hear that. I too was a victim of marriage fraud where i was used by my ex wife for her motives (not for immigration though) I wish u all the best for future relationship.

Today i got standard passport request letter from NDVO. Nothing has been stated in the mail if my spouse has been changed to non accompanying. No changes in CIC ACCOUNT as well. What is that supposed to mean?

So just send only your passport and a letter of explanation that you requested your spouse be changed to non-accompanying.

Are you the Principal Applicant? If you are, you can carry on with your landing as a PR, even if your husband no longer has any interest in sending his passport. On the other hand, if he is the Principal Applicant, there is nothing you can do. He would have to complete the landing process with you or before you.

I already booked an appointment for exit interview.

I am just worried bec in the instruction included in my copr it says,

If we have informed you that PRV of your accompanying member will be issued by different visa office, you cannot become PR until that visa office has issued PRV to your family member. Please wait until the visa office issued PRV to your family member before you go to visa office of Port of entry to become a PR.

So i am so confused.
