Hello evrybody.

My husband and i just got married on feb 2017 here in canada ( he has vsitor visa), he still lives in dominican Republic and is planning to come on june 20th 2017.

We already have all paperwork to send our application next week, should we apply under family class or canadian class since hes coming in june 2017?

Please advise.
I have never heard of Canadian class. For your case it's either inland or outland wc both are family class under spousal sponsorship

CIC usually has a grace period where they accept old forms without issue. See the Jan 2017 topic for examples. It shouldnt be an issue, they know it takes a fair bit of time to fill out the application and i would say they sooner you submit the application this month, the better so it still falls within the grace period.

HI Cybersaadk
Thanks a lot for the reply Would you be able to direct me towards the jan 2017 topic I could not find any related post that could have this type of situation.
Thanks a lot for all the help in advance

Hello Everyone,

My wife has been applied for spousal sponsorship from Milton, Canada on July 14, 2016. Currently, as a Pakistani citizen my status has given below:

We received your application for permanent residence on July 14, 2016.
We started processing your application on September 20, 2016.
Medical results have been received.

The authorities has required additional information regarding marriage life, internet conversation, honeymoon snaps etc. I have sent all additional information from Pakistan and they received that additional information on February 02, 2017. In meanwhile, We have blessed with a baby girl but my wife is not well at all so i requested to authorities to expedite the immigration process with an evidence of my wife health. They replied that soon they will complete the review and inform me. On April 20, 2017, they informed that my file has been placed in a queue awaiting the schedule of an interview, once a date and time has been determined a letter will be sent to you with those details.

Now, My question is

Whether there is any worry for us? What type of questioning can be asked in Islamabad, Pakistan? Whether the interviewer will belong to Pakistan or Canada? Any other further advice? Thanks

Regards.

If he is not in Canada, then you must apply through Family Class (outland).

If they have requested an interview, it means they have doubts about the relationship. You should order your GCMS notes to see what their concerns are. There are a few threads on the forum that list potential interview questions. The interview will most likely be in Pakistan.

Yes lots of people receive this letter. They are determining whether you will really move to Canada and it looks like your sponsors financial affairs. Just send everything you can that they ask for and an explanation if you can not provide certain documents.

Thanks for the reply. Do you know if there are particular procedure to follow when responding. I mean via email is sufficient? Or should I send it via registered mail as well, because I heard of some cases where ADRs get lost or misplaced.

I am a new member so could not know how to find out those potential interview questions. Please help me to find out list of potential interview questions. Thanks

You can't apply inland if he's not IN Canada...

Thanks Icewizard.

I looked at the spreadsheet. Is there a thread that specifically discusses outland spousal sponsorship?

Just wondering, how many days CIC took to provide you AOR and SA. File already reached in Mississauga Office but no response from the office.

Who received AOR in April? Please share the timeline...

Who else send the file in Mississauga in the month of April 2017? (Inland Category)

Please share the timeline :)
