Hello Everyone

I just wanna know i live in Canada last 2 years as a PR.i am recently married in 2016 April than i will move to Canada in may 2016.i already applied my wife spousal sponsorship i don't know how long it wanna take cic they show we are open your file in Aug 2 2016.

Is it possible she is coming for a tourist visa in between when the process is running.

Please help me.............

Yo :) :) :)

I'm confused.

You say that you've lived in Canada last 2 years as a PR, but that you were married in April 2016 then you will move to Canada in May 2016, but you posted your message yesterday November 8, 2016...which is after May. ? ? ?

Are you in fact now living in Canada?

You must be in Canada (and remain in Canada) to submit the sponsorship application since you are not a Canadian citizen.

Hi All,

I am getting married on December 14 in India. I have Canada PR and she is Indian citizen. Can someone tell me the whole process and what all forms I need to fill and submit.

Thank you.
RJ

First you'll need to return to Canada - you cannot sponsor your wife from outside of Canada. Next, you'll need to submit an outland application to sponsor her: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp

Dear Everyone, Need a suggestion from all of. One of my friend got spouse visa but after that they divorced. Now can he move to Canada or not. If can move what will be the grounds and if not what problems he will face.

Yes - it's possible you may have problems. However you haven't provided enough information for us to answer your question.

Are you already a PR or do you just have a PR visa but haven't landed yet? If you are already a PR, when did you land and become a PR? When did you get divorced? Do you have conditional PR?

I applied for my spouse for PR in October 04 (received date by CIC). How long will it take for the whole process. By now i have got an email saying that i am eligible to sponsor and my application has been sent to visa office in New Delhi. I am from Nepal.

It doesn't look like your application has been approved. It's only approved/not approved (depending on the outcome) when you receive a 'Decision Made' on e-cas. It looks like London is your visa office and they will be dealing with your case. Your application was only filed on September 30th, it's only November 14th, I can't imagine you'll be approved so fast. Continue checking e-cas as well as your emails (inbox and spam) on a daily basis for any correspondence.

Yes, if your app is in London, you have sponsor approval. Check your email spam box to see if you missed the email they would have sent. Otherwise, call the Call Centre; they should be able to confirm when sponsor approval was given.

Note that the poster is asking about sponsor approval, not overall application approval.

Hi :) I got an E-mail today informing about an interview in the end of this month. Along with some documents, they've also told me to bring,
copy of your sponsor’s complete Personal Information form ( this must be in a sealed envelope)
What does this mean? Has anyone got the same thing before? Is there any application form of such issued by CIC?

My friend applied for spousal sponsorship in late September 2016. He was approved and file was transferred to Nairobi after five weeks. He just received a letter for his wife to send in the passport along with a pre-paid coupon. One issue is since she is a refugee her passport/travel documents expire every two months.

Does the CIC have a priority on cases where the family member being sponsored is a refugee? I am not sure how/why they are asking for a passport so quickly?
