So did they ask for further documentation regarding the son?

There are a few things you can do. The call center probably won't be any help, but usually you can get through when they open in the morning, or in the mid-afternoon around 2-3.

Order your GCMS notes so you can see what is holding it up: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp

Contact your MP and ask them to inquire about your case.

Send a (polite) case-specific enquiry asking about your application status.

Thank you. No we haven't been asked for further documentation. I have sent an e-mail via "case specific inquiry". But, no information is provided to me as I'm not the representative. We have a lawyer and we're told by our lawyer wait to hear back from CIC.
I will try calling again and continue to try to get a hold of someone. Would us not being able to obtain my husband's son medical create a delay in our sponsorship application?

It might, but usually that would be because they request the medical. What does either of your ECAS say?

You can still email on your husband's behalf, they don't have to know it's you emailing.

There were no issues with my husband's medical. We have submitted all documentation that was requested.
I will e- mail CIC again on my husband's behalf and hopefully, we will get a response.

Once a decision is made what is the next step. Does my husband need to fly back to the USA and come back to Canada or can we just drive across the border and come back.

Hi Everyone!
I need some additional information about INLAND SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP..I can't afford to hire an Immigration Consultant..I know its quite expensive here..PLEASE HELP..THANK YOU..
My spouse and I get married here in Toronto last February 15,2016..I'm a permanent resident card holder and my spouse is in VISITOR VISA..
His visitor visa will expires on May 30,2016.We're planning to submit an Inland Spousal sponsorship ASAP before his visa will expires.
Please give me some advice:
1. Should we EXTEND his visit visa first? or SEND A COMPLETE Spousal sponsorship within CANADA (Open work permit application with PR Application in one package envelope? I know his visa expired before our application will be processed..
2. Which is FIRST TO APPLY? SPONSORSHIP EVALUATION ? OPEN WORK PERMIT WITH PR APP ?
3. HOW MUCH ALL IN APPLICATION FEE SHOULD I PAY?
4. Im not sure WHERE to SEND all my application? VEGREVILLE, ALBERTA or MISSISAUGA ???
5. Lastly,DO I NEED TO OBTAIN A FIRST STAGE APPROVAL before applying for Open Work Permit/PR application ..

1. If you apply inland and include an OWP application, he will have implied status.
2. Send everything together.
3. 1040$ for the PR application and 255$ for the OWP.
4. Everything goes together to Mississauga.
5. No.

I have a question regarding arranging file for spousal.
How you guys number the pages of file?
Can I use tabs to mark page number? Or is it ok if i do not number pages?

Is it ok to use paper clips on multi page documents?

Sorry guys for such questions but i don't want that VO get angry and frustrated from my any mistake.

Hello, I am organizing file for my husband and i heard that we should not staple any documents in the file but use paper clips instead. Is it correct?

I didn't use any paper clips just put it together as it is in document checklist and put in envelopes

Is this the correct fees that I have to pay - $1040? I'm sponsoring my spouse.

Sponsorship application (per application)-$75.00
Principal applicant-$475.00
Right of Permanent Residence Fee-$490.00

Hi All,

I am currently back in Canada for another six months with a visitors visa, does anyone knows if I need to change my mailing address (Philippines to Canada)? I will be here to deliver our first baby and wait for my PR.

Thanks in advance :-)

Yes, unless you are sure you won't be getting DM or PPR in that time.
