Hi All, I'm new to this forum and thanks to the thread it makes me feel positive
1. My husband in Canada has applied PR for me on 21st October 2014, medicals done on 22nd september 2014 and got UCI number on 8th January 2015.
2. I could see my status as "Application Received" in the website since then.
3. Can anyone brief on what are various stages or the whole process on how we get PR and the meaning for AR/MR..
4. At which stage of status we will get PPR request..
5. If the status is "In Process" what does that means.. Very much confused and anxious..

Pls help friends!! thanks in advance!!

Hi all! I'm just wondering if the government will accepted a print out of my notice of assessment from the CRA website or if I should request an official paper copy? I'm not exactly sure why they need to see my taxes as my income does not affect my husband coming to Canada (he has no children) but maybe it's because they want to make sure I'm a working Canadian in general? Thank you for your answer in advance :)

An NOA is not sufficient. You must request an Option C from CRA. It gives more detailed information, including whether you've claimed welfare, which can affect sponsorship.

Hi
does the Option C printout apply to EVERY sponsor or is it only specific for sponsors with a certain amount of income?

Every sponsor needs to submit one, doesn't matter what income they earn .Even if you don't work you still have to file taxes ,so a option C printout is available, unless your not in Canada.

Oops! we didn't think we needed to submit one so we printed out my husband's NOA for the past four years. Should we send this option C now and send it to CIC as an additional document? He lives in Canada.

at this point, it's probably best to call the CRA to request the option c to be mailed to you (it's the only way it's available), and hold on to it until cic requests it (if they do). since you just sent your application, presumably it's not opened and there would be no way of connecting 1 piece of paper to an application that's not opened yet.

Here is the link for visitor applications. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/apply-how.asp

This is the wrong forum to be asking about visitor application. There is another forum in the visitor section of this message board with regards to visitor visas. Your wife will have to show strong ties to India if she is to be granted a visitor visa. When you're ready to apply to sponsor your wife for PR, this is the forum you will use.
