Part 3 is the region specific information and requirements. For Pakistan, you would use:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/3907e.pdf

It should have been part of your overall application package that was mailed to CIC

Hello claire17 for me it's a goodnews because even if there's a strike they still manage to update our status. As of now we don't have idea if when they're going to release our visa. I'm just hoping that the strike will end soon. Goodluck to us. :)

I'm sorry but this is just the very beginning of the application process. You have a long way to go still. I can't comment on how long it will take because I don't think that anyone knows for Cairo any more. You are probably looking at many months still. Depending on your application, you may find that your husband is called for an interview.

Hi claire17! May I invite you to join to to our July 2013 Outland thread? Here's the link: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/the-july-2013-outland-applicant-chill-spot-t154906.615.html

I am also a July 2013 applicant and we have the same timeline as I submitted on the same date as yours. I'd like to know when did you receive your Acknowledgment of Receipt (AOR)

On ECAS my status under the Permanent Residence status shows too that medicals have been received. Just like you, I am also hoping that it's a good sign. Because if you look on the timetable explanation for the PR status, the medicals received is placed on the decision made row. Right now, I don't have any idea how long it's gonna take for me to have a visa. But I'm still hoping that the process will be faster despite of the strike.

Anyway, you've been added to our spreadsheet . If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to post there.

Good luck to your application! :)

Hi there

I am in the process of filling out my application for spousal sponsorship. I am the person providing sponsorship to my spouse. We will be filling out all the information in Canada but it will be an outland application. So which application will I have to fill out? The application within or outside Canada.

Thanks!

Mine were more than 30 days once, so I sent an email to ATIP-AIPRP@cic.gc.ca stating when I sent the request and asking why it had been more than 30 days (sometimes it takes longer but they are supposed to send you a letter notifying you and telling you the reason for the delay). I also attached a scanned copy of my receipt for the $5 as it proved payment and when it was sent. I received the notes the very next day.

Great post, VERY informative!

"You will be asked to provide information about your income but you will not be denied to sponsor your spouse and dependent children because you do not make enough money. It is possible though that if you make absolutely no money at all that immigration may ask you how you plan to support yourselves."

In reference to that comment is there specific dialogue that confirms such from a CIC page? I have always supported my Canadian family from US side and plan on continuing such once I become a PR.

TY!

10.3. Sponsors who do not meet the income test

Visa offices may receive undertakings from sponsors who are required to meet the income test
but who do not meet it. If the financial test is not met, CPC staff will send a copy of the work in
progress (WIP) transcript and a detailed explanation as to why the application to sponsor is Not
Met. CPC-M will also send the Financial Evaluation (IMM 1283E). It details a sponsor's financial
situation. If a sponsor does not fall under one of the categories described in R133(4), the
application should be refused under A11(2) pursuant to R120(a).and R133(1).

Sponsors of dependent children and of spouses, common-law partners or conjugal partners
(unless they have dependent children who have dependent children of their own) do not have to
meet financial requirements, but they do undertake to provide for the basic necessities of the
sponsored applicants so that the applicants do not need social assistance. Applicants may be
refused for financial reasons under A39 if they are unable or unwilling to support themselves and
their dependent children and there are not adequate arrangements for their care and support.

Officers should take into consideration the sponsor’s financial situation and willingness to assist,
as well as the financial situation or employment prospects of the applicant, if applicable.
