What is ATIP AND E-CAS?

And how do check them?

E-cas is CIC's online system to check your application status (rarely gives any valuable information and is inconsistent at best) http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index-int.asp (click on "Check Your Application Status" and enter required information)
ATIP is a request for your file information via the Access to Information and Privacy Act http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/ and submit a request. (You must be the Canadian Citizen or a Canadian Resident to request the information and you must submit an authorization to release information from the principal applicant)

Hello guys...do you have any idea regarding csq, i received the csq issued by the micc...i'm not sure if im going to send the csq copy 3 to cem, although i haven't received any email yet from the cem telling me to submit the csq copy 3 document, however the micc stated in their letter that they have already transmitted the issuance of csq to me...am i going to send the csq copy 3 now? or just wait for the cem to request such doucument?...thanks...

I think that's CIC internal administration "noise" and not specific to your application.

Does "CEM" mean your visa office?

We didn't need to send the CSQ to the visa office. MICC sent them everything they needed.

By the way, you should hold on to your CSQ for life (even once you're a citizen). It's used to prove Quebec residence in many situations, and even years from now when you're a citizen, it can be useful.

By the way, you should hold on to your CSQ for life (even once you're a citizen). It's used to prove Quebec residence in many situations, and even years from now when you're a citizen, it can be useful.

I would strongly suggest scanning a complete copy of the CSQ and sending it to your visa office. CIC is not always good at matching these incoming documents with its own files, and several people on this forum have said that their VO requested the CSQ (and my VO - CPP-O - did as well). Sending it before they ask means less likelihood that they will need to request anything other than your passport at the end of the process. If they need to ask for anything else, it WILL delay the process. Maybe by a few weeks, maybe by a month, and maybe by three or four or five months. Don't rely on CIC to get this piece right!

I have couriered my spouse sponsorship application(for my wife in india) package to CPC on June 28th 2013 at the following address:

Suite 300
Mississauga, ON
L4Z 1H8

I used Purolator's services and i have confirmation of delivery of my application package as a courier service will not deliver on a PO BOX.
The package was recieved by Shannon in mail room at CPC.
I still havent heard of anything about my application.
Did i do a mistake sending the package by courier?
Is there any way to have an update? How do CPC send the client id?
I am worried. Please help me.

My application was delivered on June 24th, and I just received AOR (acknowledgement of receipt) via email this morning. They should be getting to your application in the next week or so, I would think. Did you provide an email address? If so, confirmation should arrive to that email address (note that not everyone gets AOR - some people don't hear anything until their sponsorship approval, which is running about 27-35 days from receipt of application right now). If you join us in the June applications thread, you'll be able to see when people who applied before you are getting updates.

Don't worry. CPC-Mississauga most cases does not send confirmation of application received. But, after they open the package and then approve you as a Sponsor, they will e-mail or mail you a Sponsored Approval notice. In this notice, you will get a File number. You already have a client ID, if you are a sponsor (unless you are a Canadian born Citizen). When the file is moved to the next stage for the Applicant's part to be processed, then they issue a new client ID for the Applicant. The file number remain the same.

Hi.

I'm new to the forum, so I hope I'm not breaking any rules by posting my question here, since I wasn't able to find any information about this

Unfortunately, I did my med exam really early, in November 2012, and my application was received by CIC only in May 2013. I was hoping to be lucky, and have my visa issued by February 2014, so that the visa office could ask for the medical results valid period to be extended.

Is that still the case - is that extensions still granted? What does it mean that the Operation Bulletin is expired?

Can you please tell me the content of the email? did they approve your sponsorship? did they provide you a client id?
