If you paid too much, they will refund the overpayment and you don't really need to worry. If you didn't pay enough, they will send the application back unless you can manage to pay the difference before they send the application back. If that's the case, I would suggest contacting CIC and asking how you can pay the difference so your application isn't sent back.

Hey folks, I've got my papers laid out in front of me, waiting to go in the postage-paid registered mail box (take no chances!) but I've got one last question I gotta ask before I pop this in the mail:

While you can pay your 'Right of Permanent Residence Fee' up front (and indeed, should, to save up to two months of processing time) I can't at the moment. My question is, where do you send the payment for a Right of Permanent Residence Fee after your application is sent?

It means there is something other than the medical outstanding (otherwise they could extend the medical) but it isn't anything you can provide.

I'd expect that about 2-4 months after you get an updated medical done you'll see a PPR.

Hey computergeek,

Can you please help me I am a bit confused. My wife's medical is going to get expired on Aug 7, 2013 and I still don't have any update from NDVO's office. What should I do now, should I email them or re-do her med.

Yes the amount is correct...

I would call CIC and ask what to do. It might be that it doesn't matter, it might be that they can make the correction for you, or it might be that they'll ask you to pay "correctly" and then get a refund for the amount paid "incorrectly." I'm sure others before you have done the same thing, so they should have an answer to help you fix it.

Good luck!

I am stuck with the "SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION FORM -DELHI" which is to be filled by all applications age 18 or above.
And its asking for details of foreign travel.
I have traveled alot between India, Dubai, Qatar, USA and Canada... i have 3 passports... and before that i was on my mothers passport....
so do i have to enter each and every date of my entry and exit stamp in my passport from the time of my birth or only from 18 years and onwards ?

And should i start from the most recent travel or the oldest travel

1. Is my spouse be eligible to sponsor me?

Yes. There is no specific income limit and your own skills can be taken into account to convince the VO that you won't require social assistance.

2. I am Indian and stay in Oman but the processing time taken at AbuDhabi is about 20 months as compared to 10 months at New Delhi. Can I apply from New Delhi?

Yes. If there is an interview (unlikely) you will need to travel to India. When they are ready to issue the visa, you will have to travel to India (the whole "you cannot send your passport via mail" issue for India). You do NOT need to send your passport at the beginning when they ASK you. You only need to send it when they tell you that you MUST submit it in order to issue the visa.

3. I spoke to one of the prospective employers who earlier provided me the appointment letter (in 2011). The employer is still ready to hire me provided I have legal status to work. If I use same letter or get a new provisional appointment letter can it accelerate the application of spousal sponsorship?

No. But if the employer can obtain an LMO, you can obtain a closed work permit and the employer can hire you. Then you could even apply via the inland route if you so desire.

4. In case of provisional appointment letter should I go for the temporary work permit or continue with spousal sponsorship. Which option is better?

These are parallel tracks: if you can obtain the LMO, then you can come to live and work in Canada while CIC processes your application. Spousal sponsorship is one way to achieve PR.

5. Is there any other way to expedite in order to be in Canada permanently?

You might check and see if there is a PNP program for family sponsorship for your intended province, but in general spousal sponsorship is the fastest class of application, though not always. I do know that the new FSW track is supposed to be very fast, so you might investigate going by that approach. It's still too new for us to know how fast it really will be though.

Good luck!

My advice is to wait. They can ask for an extension up to 15 months after the original medical. So if you do the medical and they don't need it, you've wasted the money. If you don't do the medical and they do it you've pushed the PPR out a bit. Thus, my question to you: which is more important to you, the money or the time?

CPC-M for outland applications. For inland applications you can pay and send the receipt to the local office when your file has been approved for landing.

For outland it must ALWAYS go to CPC-M because they are the ones that must update GCMS to indicate the RPRF has been paid.

Spousal sponsorship

Hey Guys....

Kinda new here....but can anyone let me know how long does it take once you apply for the sponsorship of your spouse if they are in Pakistan. I am about to file my case so was curious...I have heard from 18 months to years. Is this correct ?

29 months according to CIC.
