My husband is sponsoring me through inland. After reading all the information, I am a bit confused. Do I need to do the medical exam before we submit our application? What about security check?

Lechin said:Thanks Charlie. for the security check...what is the fingerprint for? when I applied for the criminal record check they didn't ask for fingerprint.
Will the medical exam report send to me or will be sent to CIC directly?
Or...after I submit my application, I will be granted "implied status" right? but my health insurance and social insurance will be expired soon. Can I get any written document from CIC so that i can renew my insurance cards?
CharlieD10 said:A name check does not require your fingerprints. A full criminal records check requires your fingerprints. The results of the medical exam will be sent to the regional medical office, you will not see the results, you will receive a form confirming you completed the exam to submit with your application.
If you applied for an OWP and specified that they not process it until they process your application for first stage approval, then you have implied status. You won't receive anything from CIC regarding your eligibility for health coverage until you receive AIP/first stage approval, 10 or so months from whenever you applied.

mikie said:and the idea is rhat when they emailed me the med.was expired so they were supposed to ask me redo the tests rite?but they did not
