I have an interview next week and I decided to bring some letters which explaining about our wedding is genuine and legitimate couple from my sponsor parents, relative and also some friends who joined our wedding.

Fast... They might ask you questions about him, and about you to him, so you need to prepare with that as well.. I know in the trhreat INLANDS APPLICANTS 2010 some users have posted some Lists with the questions they might ask you... do a Search in that threat "List" "Questions" etc.. good luck

I tried to find an answer here but there is so many posts that I just got even more confused. So here is my question, was there any cases that they were denied in Mississauga (sponsorship part)? And if yes how often? The thing is , my hubby , who is our sponsor, is working less than a year. Argo he didn`t file yearly tax yet. Is that relevant at all?

Dear Sir: Please note that your wife's application is on queue for review by an officer. You spouse's is required to undergo a new medical exam again using one of our designated doctors - list attached. Once received we would be able to continue processing. Regards Immigration section - RLA

I was just introduced to this thread and the information here have been very helpful. However, I will need everybody's advise on my case.

I am a Nigerian and currently holding a F-1 (student visa) Visa in the U.SA. My U.S.A Visa will be expiring sometimes next year. I am 25years old and have a 45 year old lady in Canada that I have been dating for close to 3 months now.

I have a 2year visiting visa to Canada already and was in Canada last month to visit her. We plan on getting married by December and start all the immigration process. I will need advise on the best way to go about the spousal sponsorship. Will I need to go live with her to be able to file as "instay" ? She is divorced and would that be a red flag? What do you guys think about the age difference? Do I need to file from my home country again? I will need everybody's advice and suggestions. Thanks.

If you applied outland, then it's likely they're asking you for an interview because they have doubts your relationship is genuine. You need to come very well prepared to answer detailed questions about yourself, your spouse and your relationship. Bring additional evidence if you can that supports the fact your relationship is genuine. Again, since you applied outland, this interview is not to be taken lightly. It means there's some kind of problem / issue / doubt related to your application.

I need your help and advice...about sponsoring my spouse... here's my situation, I received my confirmation last april 19, 200.. i got married last may 8, 2011 and I became permanent resident last june 01, 2011... MY problem was i did not declare that i got married..so my status on my PR card was still single... Now, i am planning to sponsor my husband to come over here in canada... would there be any problem by not declarinng it before i became PR?.....please someone help me... really confused and dont know what to do....i really really want to get my husband here...

You have a big problem. By not declaring that you got married before you landed or at the very latest at the time you landed, you have committed misrepresentation. By landing without declaring, you have basically made the statement that you were still single at that time and that you have no husband. This is misrepresentation. If you make immigration aware of this, they may revoke your own PR because you did not declare. Best case scenario, you get to keep your PR but you can never sponsor your husband. If he wants to immigrate, he will have to do so on his own.

I am now wondering about time frame. We are living in London now and not looking to move to Canada for 3 years. We want to have my partner's sponsorship sorted before we get there - which will take at least a year if we do it from London.
There is the possibility that we may move overseas next year for a few years - to Dubai or Singapore. Both of these countries have much longer waiting times for sponsorship approval.
Could we get the sponsorship done here while we are in London, then move overseas for a few years and then go straight to Canada - or does the sponsorship become invalid if we don't move to Canada straight away?
We own a property in Canada already which we hope will help prove that we do plan on moving there eventually.
