We plan to submit photos of us together, of us with my wife's family and with us and my family. I assume that is what they want to see. Do you need to write the date and names of the people in the photo on the back? How many pictures is considered "normal" to send? Also is a letter from my mother inviting us to stay with her while we get started in Canada enough to show intent to return? I can't get a job offer and I'm not going to rent a place there without the visa approval.

I feel like pulling my hair out when I go on the cic web sight looking for information!!!!! It just sends u around in circles. Does anyone no is there an email address for the office in Mississauga?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

If you are living with your boyfriend for more than 12 months, you must apply as "common-law", not "single". You have no option.

I think that you will have difficulty finding one. You could try "CPCM-EXTCOM@cic.gc.ca".

Hi. I have a question, not sure if it has been asked before and as much as i want to read through this whole thread, its like 900+ pages, so please bear with me. I got my permanent resident status last january 2014 under cec. I got married last month (may2014) in my home country (philippines) and now i am preparing to apply for my husband under spousal sponsorship. Now, do I have to inform cic about the change in marital status? How do i go about this? Thanks!

Also, i havent changed my last name yet so all my passport and IDs are still under my maiden name. Would this be a problem?

No - you don't have to inform CIC. No - you don't have to change your passport / IDs.

Though not related : I have a another question, after we filed for spousal sponsorship through my wife who is a Canadian citizen, we got 1 file number which we use to lookup our ECAS status with her Date of Birth etc. Will I The person being sponsored get a separate file number and have to search ECAS on that file number? And looking at the spreadsheets whats does 2nd AOR mean? Thanks all

Hello All, am a little bit confused of this question on spouse questionnaire (Q6) Were your marriage arranged? I just need a clue. i proposed to my spouse late last yr and she informed her parents and wedding preparation started immediately and they choose the day of wedding to be this summer. can this be the answer to the above questions. And the period of cohabitation, is it the day we started staying together under one roof? it says from (yr/mm/dd) to (yr/mm/dd). can i put from the day we started living together to " DATE" or leave it blank.
Thanks all

AOR,means acknowledgement of receipt

Is is a good idea to submit more supporting Documents to CIC even if they did not ask.
Like new apartment lease and new Insurance policy ?

I am the sponsor for my husband and i received my UCI first. About 3 weeks later, when the visa office in Paris received his application they send him his own UCI number so we both have different UCI numbers but the file number is the same.

Hi Everyone,
Wondering if there is a number to contact CPC Ottawa Case Processing Pilot office directly. All I see on the website is a Fax # and an email. Can anyone verify?
