Hey guys, we applied for spouse visa on June 8th,

When should we obtain our PPC from local police?

Do they ask for police certificates during AOR1?
They will ask for the PCC with the Schedule A form after they send u the AOR letter.

Hi Experts,

I would be grateful if you guys could share your perspective on my issue. For your information, my PR is based on CSQ certificate. I will be getting my PR on or before November 2017 and I live in Australia now. During the CSQ process, due to lack of points for CSQ and some other reasons, I added my wife name as a non-accompanying member in the application. Currently, we both live in Australia ( we are not Australians) and she is on dependent visa. More importantly, CIC requested her PCC and medicals as like the way they did to me. Also, her name with UCI no in GCkey account as my dependent.

My questions are:

1. As her details are already in CIC database, does it make my spousal sponsorship application move faster than that of a normal one?

2. Is there any link to calculate spousal sponsorship visa process time in Canada embassy in Australia?

3. As I know, getting a visitor visa for a spouse is not easy, but still possible. My wife is well educated and our bank balance is good too. Also, we live in a country which is not a home country for both of us. In this case, what is the possibility to get a visitor visa for her?

Thank you in advance.

What is ECAS? is it different from the GCKey? If so, how can I access it?

I saw in the spreadsheet that there is a column for ECAS in which status might say "In Process".

Hi Guys,

N00b question.

I am a Permanent resident and applying for my wife and baby (both US Citizens). I plan to put in an outland application and following checklist 5533, I think I need to fill in only the following forms. Can you please chime in if this list looks complete?

a) 1344 (Undertaking sponsorship)
b) 0008 (Generic Application)
c) 5532 (Sponsorship Evaluation)
d) 5406 (Additional Family Information)
e) 5669 (Schedule A - electronically when linking the application)

So we think we can skip 0008DEP (since there are only 2 dependents including the principal applicant) and forms 5476 and 5475 (Representative and Designated Individual resply.) are optional.

I understand there are additional supporting documents to be included with the application, but wanted to confirm the actual forms needed to be filled.

Thanks in advance for your guidance!

Hello,
I am new this forum. I am planning to sponsor my wife through spousal sponsorship program. However by reading various post I am getting afraid seriously. I have found many applicants are struggling for long time to bring their spouse.

I would like share my situation for kind advices from experts .

I am married and have a baby boy.I applied for CSQ in the year of 2013.When I applied, my wife was studying so she decided to be non acompanying in my application. I proceeded my application with my child keeping my wife as non accompanying. I got CSQ for my child and for me.

Later on I applied for VISA. I declared that my wife will join with us ato a later date. Although she is non accompanying , she submitted her background declaration form, did her medical examination, and submitted her PCC. However, I did not submitted landing fees for her. Lastly my child and I got PR Visa. In my CORP letter my wife's name is mentioned as non accompanying dependent.

Now I wish to apply for her VISA in family category. My question is that

1. What is the probability of getting PR VISA for her?
2. Is there any gap in the process that I already did which could make future process complex?

3. How should I proceed/ start to get PR status quickly.

Thanks in advance

Nora

I am in the same situation. Please update when you get any news

Yes, you will both receive an email saying they received you sponsorship application and that you should link it to your GC-Key/MyCIC account, after that is done you should read the message on MyCIC it will have a PDF letter asking for Schedule A and Police certificate to be uploaded. They will also tell you before what date this should be done. This whole step is AOR1.

1. Probably not.

2. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/index.asp

3. Pretty good i would say, as long as she can show some ties to the country she is living in right now.

Hi...I am a new PR holder for last 1 month.I landed here as Quebec Skilled worker. But I moved to Toronto after landing in Quebec.I am waiting for PR card.I came with my daughter and am pregnant too....Recently I applied for visiting visa for my spouse, but it rejected by stating that he should be sponsored under family class.Again I am going to apply for visiting visa as my due date for delivery is on September.I mentioned the same reason in the purpose of visit .Is there any chance to reject again.I am not employed,Is it possible for me to apply for sponsorship? what should I do to take my husband to Canada?
Unemployed isnt a problem, but you cant be on welfare.

Hi everyone :)
I have 2 quick questions for recent successful PR applicants;
- where CIC asked for 20 photos of your relationship - did you get proper photos made by a photographer, or did you submit regular print outs?
- where CIC asks for 'documentary evidence of financial support between your sponsor and yourself'; I take this to mean evidence of money flowing back and forth between sponsor and applicant (eg. printouts showing a couple of interac transfers between them should be ok). Am I right there?
Regular printed photos are fine. Print-outs of interac transfers are good too, if they need any more info they will let you know. Dont worry about it.

Morning everyone.

I have the similar questions about the financial support too. I see someone was asking about that.

An answer will help us both.

I currently live with my husband in Canada and we share a credit card together.

but in the past I travel back and forth my husband supports me by sending money using western union. We have some of those receipts still.

Can I use those recipts as proof of support along with the credit card statement.
Yes, just make copies of those receipts and include them.
