Thanks for the reply. So is there a possibility of bringing her here as a fiancee? Can she apply in her country but still live with me in Canada?
maybe she can apply from there & come see u here? i dont know how that wil work in terms of being "outland" cause she wil be here. but i guess she's visiting right...idk tbh.
a lot of cdn brownies apply from canada & go live in pakistan with their spouses while waiting - cause for citizens, there's no limit of staying outta cda but for PR's or visit visas ther's defo a limit as u may know...so think over it & u can plan accordingly. :D

Anyhow my girlfriend visited me in Canada 2 times this year. She will come again in June. The question I have.. is it easier for us to get married in Canada and she can apply for PR here? Or is easier for her to go back to her country ( Colombia) and apply there? Also if she applies in Canada, is her visitor visa still good for use?

If she is in Canada, she can apply inland, which takes 2+ years during which she's not supposed to leave Canada. She can also apply outland, which is significantly shorter and no issues with travelling out of Canada. She can be in Canada while an outland app processes.

Her TRV has nothing to do with a PR app.

Does the date (near the signature area) that we put in the application matters? I gave my husband a wrong instruction. He dated it few days late compared to the actual date when he signed it.

I would think it does not mater as long as that date is not after CIC receives the application. In other words, if it was dated April 30th and CIC got it April 29th it might look invalid, right?

hi
My husband has got and admission from one of the Canadian universities with full fund. As there is a great bond between us (we are married for five years) and we have a 1-year old doughter. So I and my daughter want to accompany him during his studies.

I have bachelors degree with 3 years of job experience.

would you kindly let me know that which kind of visa is suitable for me with less risk of rejection? visitor or open work permit?
and what document I should upload?

No. The ARC is only authorization to return to Canada. PR approval is not guaranteed...even with an ARC.

Right, but what would stand in the way? Arc is the last process in finalizing a case.

Can you explain plz.

My Wife, who is in Canada and going to sponser me(i am in India) in filling 5481 form and below section is there, what should she answer.

NUMBERS OF FAMILY MEMBERS AND PERSONS INCLUDED IN UNDERTAKINGS IN EFFECT AND NOT YET IN EFFECT.
1) YOURSELF.
2) A) Current Undertaking
Number of persons in box#3 of the Generic Applicant Form(IMM0008), under section Application Details.
B) Previous undertakings
.........

i think YOURSELF is her(my wife) and for question number 2 A), i am only one(because i filled '1' in IMM0008) as she is going to sponser me only.
so total number of family members is '2'????

Yes, correct! That's what I did too for me and my husband.

Current Status Question.

When I sent my application I was waiting to here back from CIC about a Visitor extension (Visa exempt), I explained all this in the app and included all the correspondence from CIC just to play it safe.

I've since been approved to extend my status, but only until July (I'll apply for another extension before then)

Do I need to let CIC know my status is now visitor not implied status? Or will they figure that out by looking at their system?

Thanks!

Since you now have valid visitor status, use that as your current status on the next extension request.

I think is better if she apply from outside of canada bogota is taking only 6 months and inside of canada is more that 24 months and she has a visa so she can fly to canada to see you but if she stays in canada in legal that will make everything worse I am from Colombia and I used to live in canada I am tacking from experience
