I don't think you need to worry about it. But, for your satisfaction give a call where you submitted your application they must have given any number or tracking to follow up.

Yes I have a tracking number and the status has not changed ever since.
I can not call the embassy in Abu Dhabi as there is no such option.

Strictly Follow Document Checklist IMM5533

Last time I checked, Additional Family Information [IMM 5406] was in Principal Applicant and Dependents only's Section. Even in Note, it states clearly Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents do NOT need to fill this form.
