Your medical is valid only for a year, so yeah someone could've done medical 6 months before and then submitted the application. Your initial application would've still been considered complete. however, as mentioned before, it would be upto the VO whether they extend or will request re-med once they open your file. Majority of Pakistani applicants are requested re-med. Only a handful of them had theirs extended.

There is an individual on London thread who had done medical in Dec 2013, and they submitted their application around May/June of 2014. They were recently asked for re-med.

For instance my husband did his medical on November 25th 2013 and our case file was dispatched on November 21st 2014 and was received by Mississauga office on November 25th 2014. That's exactly on the last day of our medicals validation. So I guess we will definitely be called for a re-medical soon inshAllah.

Just received the notes.

They have stated file status as "PA (put away)" - Require interview.
Reason: Groom looking ill demure and bride is looking sad -----------
Last changed: March 2015


What kind of stupid reason is that ?? !!! It is a love marriage....
Now i have to wait for some numbed brain officer to look at my file and advise an interview date.

Is interview waived?
When can I expect DM?

I think you passed the eligibility tests , so interview might not be required. For all "when" we don't have a clue, a guess atleast a month or around 2 months after in process to DM. My ECAS went to in process on 20th May still waiting for DM.

Losing hope now of getting a PPR on time and making her travel this late. , I don't know why they deliberately delayed the process for 2 months for just 1 check.

recieved my wife's original documents today in Canada after requesting them to get it mailed here instead of Canada .
