This is what worked for me.

For linking the PR application:

UCI and family name
Entered the passport details as per the form sent part of the application

I could link my PR application after 2 days of receiving the AOR.

For linking the Work Permit Application:

Try after a week of receiving the AOR
Entered first name, last name and date of birth.
Entered passport details as per the form sent part of the application

You should be able to link your applications without much strain.

Do I still have to link my OWP? Thought the PR one works for both since I sent them together to the same address

Yes, they both have different application numbers.

Yes, that is for the PR application. The Work permit application starts with W.

I did not get any email regarding the work permit application. I just linked the app online last week and no updates on it since then. I hear you will have the message of the decision made and the owp gets delivered to your mailing address.

Looking at the inland timeline spreadsheet, the last owp issued was on June 19th for app submitted on may 3rd.

So what app number did you use to link it? And how did you link it please.

that's right. You need to link both the applications separately.

Yes that was exactly my case. I recieved the email on PA and both AOR in prinicpal applicant. I checked my wifes ecas and it say they requested document and we didnt recieve any emails. I called cic and they told me what in the letter.

But since we need the actual letter to apply for csq, i send like 10 techbical emails requesting this document and called cic 3 times to make sure they send me the letter . After almost 3 weeks of waiting i got the letter on Feb 28. My CSQ file was ready i send it same day and got approved on April 7th. Since that day my file still in background check.

No SA no AIP

I've tried calling cic many a times to follow up. But it is really hard if you can break their waiting queue and get some customer rep.
I need some luck to get someone to answer my query

hi look at the posts of @Sheraton_k i think she was also a victim of cic's "lost" application. i think it was their owp. you might wanna ask what they did about their app. sorry to hear about that, i hope they eventually find it. it could be just there but it was just passed from officer to officer so they can't trace it at the moment.

@cmandva Well basically U need contact ur MP if possible, but ur app only received on May 19th, u know sometimes AOR1 takes more than a month to confirm so they need more time to FIND or recreate/even if need return the app. However its waiting game, keep monitoring ur progress and call them again 2-3weeks from now N stay positive.
