Ooh sure I am trying not to let it bother me but pr app has a away of dominating ones thoughts no matter how hard u fight it. The only reason why I was bothered was that in a different entry and supposedly by a different staff, the same diction was used in explaining the return of my pr application for incomplete documents. It reads; " No fee payment was sent with application. Application cancelled as it was created in error"

I eventually resent the pr application. That was why I thought they intended the literal meaning of writing 'entered in error' against my address instead of stating 'residence' which is the usual entry in that column.

Anyway, will keep calm and wait for my dm. Please, feel free to hit me up if you stumble on any article or material that deals with any of my numerous pr app enquiries. Thanks a lot.

Yeah, I get that. When did you submit? If you have gotten this far without them sending it back, or requesting more info, I think you are ok for now :). I had been hyper focused on it too. So I do understand the position. I am just trying to help save your sanity...

Hi guys, I'm reading mixed info so just wanted to check and see if anyone knows the answer. I'm from the us and living in Kelowna bc, I read that inland Americans don't get ppr just the landing papers to take to the border for finalization. Any thought?

If either are unemployed, just tell them that. Our landing invite asked for all correspondence from CIC. They never asked or looked at it...
Do I have to bring employment letter for the landing interview? The landing interview letter states "Proof of income for yourself and your sponsor/spouse. Proof includes recent paystubs, employment letter."
Are paystubs enough for proof of income? :/ my husband is too shy to ask his boss give him a employment letter but we have a lot of paystubs.

outland applicants receive ppr. inland applicants receive landing letters.

One or three recent paystubs is more than fine. I would be interested to know if they even ask for them... At the interview, I mean.

Outlanders get PPR's, unless they don't need a visa in their passport to cross the border. In the case of American outlanders, they only get a Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) that they take to a Port of Entry to sign with the CBSA. At that time, the CBSA applies for a PR Card for them and admits them to Canada.

Inlanders are invited to a landing interview. They are given the COPR there, and sign at the same time. The CIC officer will then send the PR Card request in.

Is today the day that @browning911 gets a DM???

Looks like either folks stopped updating the spreadsheet, or the end of March is still waiting for DM's...

Gotta be today...

I hope so! But it starts to look like 2015 July and August applications... Most of us were processed much after sept, oct, nov 2015 applicants. I hope CIC did not jump to June/July 2016 skipping April/May just to reduce their official processing time...

SHHH! We vowed to never talk about 2015 again! ;)

In all fairness, I suspect they were trying out different options to speed processing up. They made an aggressive promise. Unless they just bust out the rubber stamp, it will take time. They are obviously still trying very hard to stay to the one-year commitment that they made. Fair or unfair.

That said, where did @browning911 go? Maybe she did get a DM and a landing already. Due to pants-peeing she might have been too embarrassed to report? #WaitingForRebuke ;)

My mom is a licensed nurse. She has been volunteering her time at a community centre run by the city we live in... My dad, volunteers his time to the TV. True story.

I just call her Carol. But for a time, she was pretty down about the process. Hard to keep people upbeat :)
