I had a habit of checking every morning at work, then again at noon (the noon habit started when ECAS was only updated Tuesday's). On the 21st when I checked, I wasn't even paying attention. I was chatting with a co-worker (I have this odd habit of typing and talking). I glanced over and saw it changed. I stopped talking mid sentence for about 30 seconds. Of course, I wasn't expecting anything to be there at all.

TBH, I bet yours is coming very soon... Maybe before next sugary Tuesday?

I see the date on your medical, I wonder if they will ask for another one.

Also, have you looked at the OHIP document requirements? Get those ready, so when you get your AIP letter, you can book it to the closest full-service Service Ontario office close to you..

Dec 16 applicant here. I got my open work permit (OWP) in mail on April 3rd! Hurray! It was approved online on Mar 30th.
I had to seek my MP's assistance this time. When they checked, my file was on hold because of "not having valid status". The truth is I have a visitor record! Apparently whoever was processing my file did not realize what was at stake for the applicants, and just left my file on the side with a comment that didn't make sense. With my MP's involvement, they approved my application within 2 days.
As I mentioned in my previous post, I called CIC before seeking MP's help, and was told I need to wait for SA before my OWP can be approved. This is apparently BS as I haven't got SA yet.

Thank you for the info but I already have an OHIP card, I'm just gonna renew it once I have my PR. I don't think they'll ask for a new medical because I only been here for almost 12 years, if I have anything it's from here and it's only been 5 months since I did it.

I thought I'd read that's why you needed AIP (and of course, so you can restore status). My bad..

No they're not. Stop watching the spreadsheet, Sam. They're working serially (first applications in, first applications out). There will be the odd one or two that could move out, because they're done with all the other open applications that they can work on, and the officer's stumbled on a case from their allocation that are not waiting for docs or Medicals.

Watching the spreadsheet can only be good for gleaning where abouts they are -- not nit-picking that they've moved on to other cases. The granularity becomes a problem.

The automated attendant says before March 8 2016.
