Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2016 timeline and updates

I think that I've been able to link OWP to CIC. It gives me an application number (starts with W) but says that I've applied online & the submission date is the date that I finally got it linked. Is this what everyone else found?

how were you actually able to link it? did it show up all of the sudden? when we try to link it, it still is not finding any application for work permit at all

I actually had to change my address which I did online & then it showed up using my UCI which I had from previous IEC application.

I used a different method choose first name and last and dob then EITHER town/country of birth, OR passport information.

If it does not link try the next day..it updates every 24 hours.

Got the same email..I think they have updated the forms and thats why are demanding the new forms for everyone . My application was recieved on March 30

this is an incredible coincidence, we are almost on the exact timeframe you listed, and also got the EXACT same form letter as you just described.... we also missed a month or two in the 10 years of history, but also had no errors or missing information in our Additional Family Information form, so wondered about that (only that we wrote N/A on the children sections, maybe we will fully spell out "Not Applicable" this time)

it is exciting that they are working on it so quickly, we are still waiting for any word on the OWP we applied for and there is no mention of it on our account when we checked the site so far

You will likely not see any update on the account about your OWP until it is actually processed. I am coming up to the 4 month mark and there is still no update on my account (I have not linked my CIC account to my OWP as I am using a law firm to represent me and won't let me link the account) but I can see updates on the account that is for the spousal sponsorship and nothing yet on that one.

We put "Not Applicable" on the children sections when we submitted it before. I really don't know what they want so I'll just upload the same forms we did last time except for that minor change in IMM5669.

Does anyone know if we need to sign the forms again and scan it before uploading it online?

this is an interesting piece of information. it means that they check the applications for completeness right at the beginning.

then they shelf them for a year

We sent our applications on 30th March 2016 but we have not received this e-mail.
