I just received a voicemail from an officer at CIC wanting to speak about my application for permanent residency. I called back and left a message but don't know what this could be about. Any thoughts?

They could want to just verify your address or some other information.

I do have another question, myCIC indicates "Final decision Your application was approved. Check your messages below for details.", but i dont see any messages below.
Does this happen to everyone ? or do i have to reach out to CIC guys what was the correspondence.

Depends. In your case, probably just an address and phone number check.

They do call sometimes, if they suspect you're not living with your sponsor, to execute a home visit.

But as stated, more that likely just a details update.

What was the number, if I can ask, that they called from? The wife and I get a ridiculous number of telemarketing calls (and she gets calls because the number was previously-enjoyed). We tend to filter most and not answer.. this is the call we'd prefer not to miss..

Guys I finally received my owp in the mail today ...thank you guys for all the help.
I want to extend or apply for a travel visa.it was expired last year October .can u advise on what I need to do and how long it takes to be approved

I'm reading my gcms notes and my medical says :
Medical: 1

Due date: 2017/05/25

I haven't done my medical upfront. I'm April 2016 applicant and haven't heard nothing from CIC since OWP. Does that due date mean they will request by that date mine? Should I just do my medical now since due date is pretty soon? I was planning to call them and ask...

I am happy to report that we received our letter today confirming our landing interview will be on Apr 10th in Surrey, B.C., 17 days after receiving DM. Total time, just under 14 months from submitting application on Feb 17 2016 to the landing interview Apr 10 2017.
