Lately we have been seeing SA and AIP in reasonably rapid succession. So, it's possible they are evaluating now, and you could even get to DM in a short time.

That said, my wife is already looking for flights home to visit!

Hello all. I'm amused at the information CIC provides and the effort it takes to "read between the lines" and decipher their messages. My wife's application/profile details state the following:

Application status: We received your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
Review of eligibility: Your application is in progress. The next step is to review your eligibility.
Review of medical results: You passed the medical exam.
Review of additional documents: Not applicable.
Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

I presume, after reading many of the comments on this thread, that CIC is now doing all tasks simultaneously (ie. assessing eligibility, background check, etc. all at once). The interesting part is beside each line item is a "?". When I click on the ? beside Final Decision, it states that a final decision has been made (contrary to the line item stating it is in progress). So I'm left to wonder if that is a true statement or is everything still in progress?

I saw an early Feb 2016 applicant received approval. We are Feb 17 2016 applicants. So maybe it has been finalized. Anyone else getting similar info?

If your application is approved, we will send you instructions on what to do next.
These instructions will be sent to your account.

If your application is refused, we will send you the reason(s) for the refusal."

What Does it mean? I'm a May 2016 applicant

If it's from the "?" then it's just an advisory. If you have seen that on the application status line or final decision line, you're done.

Yes it is confusing but no I do not think that in this case it means they have a decision.

you will get something in email after 6pm our rep forwarded me my sponsorship approval on Friday March 10 and she received it on March 10 at 6pm and I got good news at 6:30 pm so check you spam mail after 6pm

when I saw on Friday morning at 8 am decision made on the sponsor side I was neverous when she forward the good news I was shaking and crying and running around our apt

Hello all - happy to provide an update- Hubby got his Work Permit today - our app was received Nov 23 along with all sponsorship docs.

Hoping for the best on the rest - had sleepless nights about them wanting to exclude him as he wasn't examined even though we broke up and he withdrew from the process when we were common-law. CIC was advised about it before my PR was approved and they never asked for him to be examined. Spoke with a lawyer who said all should be ok and even gave me a legal opinion letter proving he is not excluded in the event they raise that as an issue. Covering all bases! ;D

Breathing a sigh of relief as now hubby can go out and actually job hunt!

No they haven't finished yet. The ? Is like a help box describing what you may see in that line. It's advisory only.
