No. AIP means they have assessed your relationship bona fides and they consider you a member of the Family Class.

That said, you could be the proud winner of the QA (Quality Assurance) interview lottery. Something they have brought in more of, since they sped up processing times. QA interviews generally are to make sure that your file was processed correctly. They can virtually ask anything at the interview to determine is the file was correctly handled. Usually it's just "shooting the shit" with the CIC officer.

My MP's constituency assistant told me the same thing about security.

Are you in GTA? Someone might call you soon because your medical expires this month. They called my hubby (PA) from a 647 number unknown name to see if he was available for the date and then the sent the Landing appointment letter in the afternoon.

#AnyDayNow

Hey browning, thanks for the tip! Yes, we're in the GTA - did the phone call come before the change in status on ECAS? I will tell my husband to be more mindful of his phone haha!

But but but... is there features under the sea that demarc it from the Atlantic? Again -- totally ignorant here -- apologies! (I almost took a jerb in Bermuda.. I have had several offers to.... I suppose I should have known this!)

Though, thinking about it, isn't Bermuda off the coast of North Carolina (kinda)?

Hmmmm I do not know.

My only time in the Caribbean sea was in Cartagena, Columbia. That was so hot and humid! That was too much for me!

No Saint Lucia would not be too hot for you.

My friend from Cartagena, when she arrived in Canada, she arrived in July and started to feel cold already. By the beginning of September, she started to wear winter clothes! But after a few years, she adapted quite well. She even admitted that she feels it's too hot when she goes back there!

Regarding the card, it's likely produced already. CIC mail takes forever to get out. I remember the letter requesting my wife to provide police certificate and to apply for the CSQ was dated of June 20, 2016, but we got it in the mail only in the beginning of July.

Right now I am freezing in the AC in my office.

Congrats. You're landing at Etobicoke, right? It's highly variable (1-8 wks)

I work with an Indian, who advised me that the +40*C + humidity days we get here is nothing like his hometown +46.. he keeps a heater running all day long, under his desk. Yikes!

Btw, no PR Card...

It does not get to +40 in Saint Lucia The highest is low thirties.

Hi everyone...

First I want to say thanks to everybody that share information on this page, its really helpful.

I applied by myself to Sponsorship and when I did I was a visitor here, I did not know I was supposed to renew my status in Canada since I was applying for PR under the sponsorship class.

Today I got a letter that I believe it’s the AIP letter, and I want to know from you guys if its possible to apply for a Work permit and OHIP since I don’t have legal status in Canada.

Thank you guys so much.
