SPOUSAL IMMIGRATION - File transferred to London Office from Islamabad

thanks for the update... i will definitely let you guyz know if there's any update of if i hear anything... its been almost 7 months for me and i haven't heard anything.. even when i check status online its not updated yet.. it says application received.. does anyone else has the same issue?..
one of my friend applied last month.. his status is fully updated.. application received... medical received.. so now i am a little worried y they haven't updated my file..

I sponsored my wife (Nikah only) in mid September 2013. The application was filed to Islamabad.

Two Weeks later I got an update saying my application has been received and that the file will now be forwarded to Islamabad.

In late January 2014, the file was transferred to London. My CIC Application status says 2 things:

1. Application was received in September 2013
2. Medical has been received.

Does anyone else with similar circumstances have anything else listed in their application status besides what I have ?

I hope the transfer to London shortens the process.

Did you heard any thing back as yet ? Since I am using an immigration lawyer, I asked them if the London time lines apply to Pakistani cases as well ? so here is their response.

"The processing time in London remains the same regardless of the nationality of the applicant; processing time in London is 10 months. Processing time at the visa office in Pakistan (Islamabad) is 32 months"

Well they are optimistic that regardless of the nationality of the applicant the case should be done as per London VO timelines. Well I do believe this is coming from their experience as well. This gave me a little hope again... So lets see...

But than if its really 10 months or so, you should at least hear some thing soon.

I hope your lawyer is right...but some of us are already at the 7 month mark.....and still no updates. Im wondering if the time is suppose to start once files reached London.

Well I believe we should count 10 months after our file got transferred to London.

Folks , I am a april 2012 applicant and my file was in Ottawa and sent to ISL in Sep 2013 and now in Feb 14, it was sent to London.

I m July 2012 applicant my file transefer to islamabad I'm September 2012 now CHC send me letter for remedical and some other document on jan2014 I will send these thing on 30 jan now it's being a 45 days CHC not send me any letter

Did you get the letter in email form? And where did it come from? ISB or london? chk the email address. most of the london transfers were done in end of jan or mid feb. If you got the letter in paper form then normally the address of the VO are mentioned on it.

You can order gcms notes to find out where your files are and what work has been done on it.

I sent my wife application to cic,Mississauga, June,05,2012, approved July, 25,2012, application sent to Islamabad and two medical exam has done. Now my application has transferred to London,Uk. Process is the same, 32 months, coz our main embassy is Islamabad, but I hope less time for all.

Buddy maybe your are right but CIC-M clearly said that we forward your application for improving our services and London visa office time is 10 month i think its a good sign for us... Inshallah ALLAH will do better for us... Hope for the best..
