Here is the response I got from my MP's office today:

The average processing time for a spouse is 8-12 months. In regards to your husbands criminality/security check I suggest you wait 6-8 weeks.

Did he get a request to re-do the medical? If not, tell him to send it to Rabat with a cover letter stating his full name, date of birth, file number and your name (sponsor) and ask them to attach it to their file.

Thanks so much rjessome for your help,,,my husband had his interview on Sept 12, 2011 and my husband told the OV that his medicals will expire on Oct 15,,the OV told him at the interview he should redo the medicals,,, I just hope this will come to an end soon and that I will have my husband finally :D

Hayati, did the VO give your husband the forms for the medical redo?

My husband is in Morocco now and I want him to do the medical now - so he can come back to Taiwan, but the VO isn't really being helpful on this issue.

Is it possible to go ahead and do the medical without getting the forms from the VO?

If so, how do we know the medical is going to be reunited with the correct file when it gets to Rabat?

Will they be pissy if we go ahead and do the medical even though when my husband asked at the interview they told him to wait until the request it?

And advice here would be helpful.

My daughter just married a resident of Morocco. We love him! My husband and I both attended the wedding, and met his wonderful family. We returned to Canada and our daughter sent in all their papers (both hers and his), plus all the necessary documents and photos to Immigration at the end of February/07. How long do you think it will take for him to get permission to come here. They are miserable living separately and we are waiting patiently for permission for him to come to Canada. We understand that Immigration here, has to send the papers to Rabat in Morocco after they are finished with them in Canada (Ontario). Would you give us an idea how long it will take for everything to go through? Thanks for you time.

Hey Rayan - Penny posted that almost 5 years ago! You'll notice there have been close to 300 posts in this thread. It has sort of evolved into a support community for those sponsoring through Rabat. Please feel free to add your thoughts and comments to the ongoing discussion!

Hi locolynn,,No the VO didn't give my husband any form's to redo his medical,,when my husband had his interview my husband mentioned at the end of the interview that his medicals will expire in Oct,,the VO said redo your medicals because,,she said the process to finish might take from 1 month to 3 months to be finalized,,,the confusing part for me is,,the Dr. that my husband went to,,she gave him 2 forms to send back to me...and she kept the other forms to send to Paris...the application is in Rabat so why would my husband send me the 2 forms,,,unless the Dr. is confused about the whole process. Any how my husband will send the 2 forms to Rabat to be attached to our application.

Tell him to send it by courier with the cover letter.
