Sponsoring husband from Morocco

Need your advise guys ..we just recieved a e-mail from cic they request for us to be ready for a interview this week ..just booked my plane ticket in Italy. I should be in Rabat 11/09 At 9:00 ..also i have to print our conversations and bring my passport ..actually i am kind of nervous ..after 12 months waiting time . Our application dates 17/08/2017...

Congrats. I know you have been waiting for a while. My advice is to go through the list of questions and just be prepared for any questions they may ask you or you husband. Don't be nervous, remember your relationship is real and genuine. All you have to do is show them this in the interview.

Thank You for all your support guys its really hard but iv to stay strong Mentaly ..i was surprise i through iv to do my interview in Rome or i should travel all the way to Rabat morocco ..doesnt matter as long is for my love ...they gives us onley 7 days to be prepared .we got the email 5/09 i booked my ticket 07/09 ...

It is not just mixed couples that are asked to have an interview. I know of 3 Muslim couples that were asked to interview in Rabat.

I was actually speaking about Moroccans marrying non Moroccans. Most of these marriages are required to do interviews. I have heard of only 2 mixed couples (Moroccan and non Moroccan) not having an interview.

They gave us about a week notice too! I was there already. Also they won't let you in as far as I know. They didn't let me inside. Interviews the week my husband had his were 2 scheduled on Tuesday & two on Thursday. On Thursday one was at 9am. And ours was 11:30a.m. The vo gave us crappy time & last interview of the week. Phoning ppl seems new. I wonder if it is just one vo that does that. You should know if your spouse passed or not the way interview goes. Or you find out the next week. Good luck

3 other people have said that they have an interview on Sep 11. They all have been waiting since Aug/Sep 2017. I wonder if they are trying to finish up with the Aug/Sep applications this month?

Oh, the only time I every heard of mixed marriage was on our marriage certificate (because I am not Muslim) - that is why I thought you meant couples not both being Muslim. However, 1 of the Muslim couples I was talking about is Moroccan, the sponsor, he is a permanent resident of Canada sponsoring his wife from Morocco, and they were asked to have an interview.

Did they not let you go into the building or just into the interview room with your husband?

I only went inside about two feet. Made sure they took him in. They wanted me to wait outside. It was so brutally hot but I found shade across the street. I believe it was my right to be able to go in.

I don't think it is right they didn't let you go in. They should speak to the sponsor too.

I can't believe they wouldn't even let you in the building. I thought you meant they wouldn't let you in the interview room. I have read on here that some sponsors went to their spouse's interview at other Embassies and they thought it helped them get approved. I guess, if we get an email for an interview while I am there I will just have to wait in the car with my cellphone. It's so sad that they won't even let you in to support your spouse - such an emotionally draining process this is.

I don't think it is right they didn't let you go in. They should speak to the sponsor too.

A woman I work with went inside, in south Africa somewhere. Maybe nigeria. She seemed to raise so hell. Her hubby got his visa.

Thank you for your support. I agree completely. I also think they should video tape interviews so that there are no discrepancies. Sometimes visa officers lie in notes. Or omit vital info. We also went back the following week. And wrote a complaint which didn't help.
