Hey, hope that your app will not be sent to PIU. But you are right when replying PFL through a lawyer.
your PR app will be hold until province make a decision on your nomination.
I think your app was sent to PIU. And if it true, poor you, you cant estimate the processing time. Some cases take serveral year.
good luck

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some advice or to connect with others in a similar situation. My SINP nomination was approved in March 2022, just 25 days after I applied. However, since July 2023, my file has been on hold, and I received a Procedural Fairness Letter (PFL) in March 2024. Since then, there have been no updates.

Has anyone else experienced something like this? If so, how long did it take to get an update after the PFL, and what steps did you take?

Thanks in advance for any insights or advice!
Hi I received same kind of letter? What was your outcome?

So SINP gave you PFL or IRCC gave you PFL are applying for PR? Reasons for PFL?
SINP gave PFL, yes application for PR.

I received a PFL letter from SINP stating that my nomination was approved on an urgent job basis and that I needed to obtain a work permit. I applied for the work permit within the given timeframe, but IRCC refused it, stating that the job was not genuine. However, SINP had approved my nomination based on the same job. I have submitted my PFL response with the help of a lawyer, and now I am waiting for a response.

IRCC can refuse even if the province approves. Hopefully you submitted strong evidence to prove the job is genuine.

SINP didn't give you PFL if they approved your nomination.. Application for PR is through IRCC and they don't believe your job is genuine. IRCC may be in contact with SINP to confirm if job is real and company eligible. So there are no timelines so you wait to see if reconsideration. Don't know your job, employer so cannot comment further.

In my case, IRCC had already approved my PR. However, after one month, I was informed that my file had been reopened, and in the meantime, SINP started a post-nomination review. IRCC had already completed all the steps and checks before approving my PR. Now, the issue is that SINP is creating a problem.

Assume you have an immigration lawyer because you need professional advice. Seems like SINP now doesn't believe job is urgent or required. Don't know NOC so cannot comment further. Seek professional advice.
