A34 completed for me, but the dependent PR background check is still "In Progress", anyone else in the same situation?

Hi May 2024 no FD,

My application ( non exp PNP) has been in process for about 27 months now, with around 9 months under comprehensive security/background screening ( no military service and I have teer 1 job). All other assessments appear to be completed, but security is still in progress.

Just trying to understand real timelines from people who went through something similar.

Same here. Non-exp PNP (teer1 job), submitted Feb 2024. All parts are completed and marked as passed (based on the GCMS and CBSA notes except for Comprehensive security/background screening, which has been in progress since Aug/Sep 2024 (23 months) and is still waiting.

P.S. I am not from Iran, Russia or China and do not have any military background

Sorry to hear that, I am also not from these countries and I dont have any military background or travel history.
Also a teer 1 job. This is devastating.

btw IRCC sent both of us to CC check in Aug 2026 (I am the principal applicant). Mine got cleared in April 2026, but still waiting for her cc. She also never worked in the military, etc.

For me applied May 2024, PAL & Aor Sept 2024. Comprehensive Oct 2025 and pending. Now Applied to BOWP.
