Hello there,

I am desperately in need of your help. I am going to send my documents next week.I am trying to prepare everything quickly because my spouse’s police clearance will be expired by 03 dec. My queries are as follows-

1. How much I need to pay as a sponsor and on behalf of my spouse (principal applicant)? Do i need to pay landing fees as well? Someone advised me to pay altogether to avoid delay in the process. I need your advised who applied from the Bangladesh as a principal applicant /sponsor. How much have u paid? Pls help me out. I am not sure what to do.

2. Form 5490 "When was the marriage arranged?"---- what does this mean? Does it mean the actual marriage date or the date when the marriage time and venue was fixed after mutual agreements.?(My marraige was an arranged by our parents and relatives)

3. What is the fastest way to send doc to missisuaga.By courrier? If courierr then what should be the address? (my doc should be reached before 3 dec,12)

4. There is a question in the form 5504- " have u resided countires other than canada?" do i have to mention my home country? In the form ,it was not dictated since when I should start mentioning.

$75Principal applicant$475A ,landing fee 490=1040$ better pay with the application so later on it doesnt delay the process.

( yes if u lived in bangladesh or any other country before, when i applied. i didnt understand that question too even tough i was born in bangladesh and came when i was 4yrs old i didnt check yes and write bd too)

Principal applicant $475
Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) or Right of Landing Fee $490

Total=$1040

$490 is Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF)
This fee is payable by principal applicants (with some exceptions) and accompanying spouses and common-law partners.
It must be paid before the immigrant visa is issued overseas or before the applicant becomes a permanent resident in Canada.

sorry for the confusion , i corrected below, its 1040 total. #2, its not the date the marriage took place but when the marriage was fixed by family,relatives..

I paid exactly same amount. After my sponsor approved cic refund 60$ by cheque. They had to do extra job to refund me.

i have few questions:is it a big deal that we dont have engagement pictures?even though we had one ?it was quickly planned with few family member only so we didnt not think about taking picture. or hired any camera man for that occasion? please someone advice if that would be a issue.

Also we have tons of wedding picture, but realized that my mother in law wasnt in any of the wed pic, because she is religious elderly woman and she didnt come to the stage with all the man guess and all.Will thatt show any negativity to the officer?

Since i used calling cards for the first one year after i left bd after marriage ,will that cause them to believe we didnt communicate? i took a pictures with all the calling cards that worth over 2500$ will that be ok ,i know calling cards arent a proof to show that we comunicated that way.

am so stressed and freaking out, i didnt think about getting proofs or zillions of pitures at the time, i didnt know about all these would be needed when i will be applying for pr. am so desperate and regret of not knowing Oh god dont punish us for being ignorant.am so sad

Do not panic. I also have no engagement and no engagement picture. But i had to say i had to not to be confuse them. My marriage was engage before i go to BD. I had picture from wedding day who arrange our marriage. I simple give that picture as engagement day and write little note on back who arrange marriage.
If you have any picture of her with you or your husband or with any family member.
Or tell your husband just say simple fact why there is no picture from engagement , could be she is more religiously does not like to take picture (like my grandmother).
It will not be a problem.

(In case of emergency bring her to CHC Dhaka with your husband to show live proof just for fun do not mad)

My wife's TRV interview they asked " why dont we have picture from honeymoon"?

Unless you have pictures from honeymoon make sure to give a valid explanation for that,

Dont worry much about pictures number, but make sure your spouse know details about you.

Your job, salary, housing address, phone number,how both of you met, i mean full details about you which is mentioned in papers.
If you dont have any pictures from an event , make sure you present the story nicely( why you dont have picture).

I know it is stressful,

thanks for the reply, yes i do have picture with my mother in law that was taken in the village after marriage and some last may when i went to bd.Since our engagment was held at the same hotel we got married in dhaka, i cannot show a pic that doesnt look like a hotel lol. But we are ready to explain the reason we do not have eng.pic also why mommy in law is nowhere on wed pics too. I hope the officer knows our culture and religion and understand these things.
